Ice/dark - tips, opinions, thoughts..

i'm playing my ice/dark for some time now, and already did the first respec.
im currently focused on single target combat, i'm having no aoe attacks (none!), and im doing pretty well, be it solo missions or team missions. however i didnt play much pvp yet..

well i was wondering if i got the optimal build, or i better should respec again and put some more aoe into my corruptor. i'm 40 now, and i want to focuse on pvp now, so maybe some of you got some tips what power i should use best.

quick note: im not an experienced coh player, so my slotting/powers may seem to be not that good..

heres my current build:

ice:
ice bolt 3x acc 2x dmg
ice blast 3x acc 3x dmg
freeze ray 3x acc 3x hold
bitter ice blast 3x acc 3x dmg
bitter freeze ray 3x acc 3x hold

dark:
Twilight Grasp 3x heal 3x acc
Darkest Night 3x end 3x -acc
Howling Twilight 1x recharge
Shadow Fall 3x end 3x res
dark servant (still not slotted at all)

besides this im having teleport(2 powers), invis (2 powers), medicine (up to rez), fitness (up to stamina), where stamina is 3 slotted.

for the next respec (still having build for pvp in mind), i thought about removing invis, since shadow fall should do in pvp. dark servant will be gone as well, while semi-useful in pve, i think it will be not-useful on pvp. for more flexibility i thought about flight, since i cant follow any player whos got jump/fly with my teleport.
i might as well remove the medicine pool, heals from medicine arent that usefull in pvp.

as for the aoe powers, ive had ice storm and tar patch once, which i didnt find very useful, so i respeced it out. ive seen blizzard couple of times, but imagining a total loss of end in pvp... i dont like this thought lol. although ive got 3 slotted stamina, i keep running out of end quickly when i have dn/shadow fall activated.

i dont want to be aoe at all costs, its fun to play as single target corruptor, when soloing i can easily fight groups of 5-6 foes (relentless) alone.
another question: what do you think of aim for a fire/dark corruptor? i friend of mine had a fire blast on coh, and with aim/build up he easily 2-hitted a group of purple foes..
but ice doesnt have any power where i would say "combined with aim this will be the killer", so im not sure if i should take it at all?

so anyone having tips for me?

ps1: excuse my english, im german and try to do my best lol
ps2: i know theres a german board :P

Tar patch is a good Dark Miasma power, it comes with a resistance debuff and slows quite nicely

As mentioed above Tar Patch lowers enemy Damage Resisance. It also slows them. This means you can blast them for more damage per hit and they won't be able to close with you as quickly.

Howling Twilight is situational really (saw a great use of it in PvE yesterday though). But for PvP I think you could probably drop it.

TPing the Dark Servant might be worthwhile. He's got a -accuaracy aura around him plus he casts a single-target version Darkest Night. So if you TP'd him beside a foe and then Darkest Night them they should have their accuracy floored. Great for stopping a Controller from Holding you (if you do it quick enough...)

And Shadow Fall isn't a full invis. It makes you harder to see but it won't hide you completely. Nice power though.

The Defender Dark Servant's Darkest Night is now AoE, and I'd suspect the Corruptor/MM version is the same. I'd highly recomend keeping him and slotting him with 3 Acc Debuffs and whatever else you fancy.

I've found tar patch useful in a couple of ways for PvP. Firstly, it is good at debuffing the resistance of something you have already held. Secondly, if you stand in the middle of it, it will give you a bit of extra time before melee types can attack you.

Given that Ice has holds anyway, you may not need petrifying gaze, but I'd highly recomend Fearsome Stare, as most things have no resistance to fear effects.

Have you got SOs in your powers yet, as you really shouldn't be having problems with endurance with 3 SOs in both SF and DN, particularly with stamina. Indeed, normally I'd say you could probably remove one of the end reduction slots from both powers.
