Kat/Regen, power pick ideas?
Energy Torrent FTW!!!
I've never played Katana, so I don't know how many AoE's you have, but as lvl 49 (50 tonight at around 7 anyone on Defiant! be there or be square!!!) MA/Regen scrapper - Energy Torrent is a great opener for me. The power takes a bit of getting used to get the most of out if (best if you aim target someone at the back of a spawn) but it's excellent. Either slot it for mainly for recharge and knockback (it's knockdown), or damage depening on if you have many ranged dammage attacks. Thing is, ET is tier 4 - so you have to have 2 Powers from the Body Master pool - Laser Beam eyes is a good attack, with a decent animation and quick recharge, does fairly moderate damage. With my current build (about to be respecced) I opted for Conserve Power, I've only used it a dozen times since I repsecced right after I6, but it is very handy against carnies, malta and dying... With the carnies, it's those damn Dark Mistresess, the ones that debuff you with -regen and -recov. I'd get through 4 attacks and have no end - drop toggles and get held. With Conserve Power - she's now lying "arrested" on the floor. It's also very helpful for when revive isn't up (I don't have it anyway) and you just popped an awaken, soon as you have enough end to turn on toggles, pop Conserve Power and go slice and dice! Your small amount of end will keep you going and it'll recharge faster than you use it thanks to CP
Mmmm, interesting. I only have one PBAoE and one cone, and I wouldn't mind having more. I have no idea what Energy torrent is like. Does it look blasterish? Is it a melee move? That's the reason I'm not taking LBE - laser beams from my eyes is just not something my scrapper could ever have, no matter how handy it would be.
Also, would it cause me to redraw my katana?
Conserve Power is sounding better and better. I might end up taking it even if I don't take Energy Torrent.
Do you need that many Def Buffs in Divine Avalanche? I know you can get beter than Tanker defense out of it, but not sure how many hits you need with what slotting to achieve this.
Might want to PM Spad, who I believe did some calculations about it.
You should be able to overlap at least two DA hits, and 3 def debuffs is quite right. Unfortunately, I only know much about running this with Hasten and haven't tried doing the attack chain maths for a non-Hasten build.
The basic rule is that the Def bunus from DA lasts 10 seconds, and you want to have two of them overlapping to get the best out. For me, that means cycling it every other hit, but if you use short animation time attacks you may be able to slip in two attacks between DA hits.
Running Hasten and no recreds on the powers, it's possible when cycling DA every other attack to get brief periods where it stacks up 3 times, but I've never got that reliable enough to be useful.
Two stacked DA hits should get you up to about a 65-70% Def bonus with 3 def buff enhancers.

You're right, at the moment I certainly don't need Stamina. My end regen is riduculous compared with what I actually use, but it's a nice luxury to have. Makes me look like I'm not doing anything, though, since my endurance bar hardly moves
I actually respecced into Fitness pool for i6 because I wanted Health (trying desperately to compensate for the loss of 3 slots in Integration by slotting Health and Fast Healing. It's not the same but it's something). But I think Stamina might be useful later when I get Tactics and FA and drop ACC in my attacks for recharge. That means more Soaring Dragon and Golden Dragonfly, which means more endurance usage. Not to mention the drain from toggles themselves. But basically I just like the idea of being a never-tiring duracell bunny.
Regarding DA, I don't usually even bother double-stack it unless I'm dying. Even now with 2ACC 1 DEFBUFF it gives a very noticeable buff and doesn't cut into my DPS that badly. But if I'm taking a lot of damage I start spamming it until I have thinned the crowd a bit. A great power, it is.
I wonder if you'd be getter served getting Focussed Accuracy instead of Tactics. Its a bigger buff (Despite being an End hog) and gives you access to some nice ranged powers, too.

The way my accuracy has been lately I feel I need to go for an overkill. I'm hoping it's a bug, though, but I really feel it has gone to hell.
And if this gives me 95% accuracy against +3s, well.. I'm not gonna complain
What server are you on Idris? If your on Defiant I can show you what Energy Torrnet looks like - or find an Energy Blaster, I think Power Push is the same thing.
The graphic is like most Energy blaster attacks, except it's red in colour, the animation is sort of a sweeping motion of your arm like your about to slap a dwarf in the face with the back of your hand :P It's a very useful power, as I only have on PBAoE in dragons tail.
For now I use it for knockback only (no damage enhancements) and use it as a starter, will run in, throw out ET - this will put most of the mob on their back, hit Focus Chi, Eagles Claw the Boss, hit Dragons tail to put a good portion of the mob on their back again and Crane Kick the boss - this'll get a boss down a good portion of healt, and have most of the mob on their back unable to touch me.
Alas, I'm on Union. But I'll keep an eye on energy blasters then. Thanks.
Jumping in the middle of a unsuspecting mob, then doing ET followed by Build Up, Lotus Drops and Flashing Steel could be a nice way to alpha-strike. Right now I do it without Energy Torrent, but if the mob is too big their alpha strike basically kills me. Could be something to try on the test server.
I wouldn't get Tactics, 3 ToHit in Focused Acc myself and no accs in attacks I hit all the time (I have Accs in them now, because I always exemp/am in Warburg).
Unless of course you had an arena build in mind, but Focused Accuracy gives +perception now anyway.

Here's my Kat/Regen build until lvl 46. I'm pretty sure that's the way I want to go but any comments are welcome, I might still change my mind. Slotting in attacks is still up in the air, I might change 1 of the recharges back to ACC (the way it's now at lvl35) or ENDRED.
But it's the last 2 powers I can't decide on.
Boxing & Tough?
Acrobatics for some extra hold protection?
Stealth?
Resilience
Conserve Power? My end bar hardly moves now at lvl35 but it might be different when I have all those extra toggles.
Something else? I guess those Laser Beam Eyes would be useful but they could not fit worse to my concept.
This is a PvE build but who knows, I might want to PvP someday as well so it'd be good if it didn't entirely suck at it.
