Well tonight has been one hell of a nite. Missed the RSF run due to being drunk (my apologies) but was able to do abit of teaming and what not. Alot of my buddies in the pvp tournament "Squished" got knocked out (unlucky guys) but happy to say my team "The Team Yet To Be Named" somehow managed to win it. Max Khaos and Blue Freezer went all the way with some epic battles. Was great fun and teh pvp didnt stop there. After winning went straight back onto live server to help defend our beautiful base from Nirvana in a base raid. I dont think I ever get tired of watching them guns destroy teams 
.
Was a good experience (expect for one in there sg who seemed to spend more time goading and being abusive then fighting) for some of the newer people to our sg and when Nirvana think they are ready then quite happy to lay the smack down on them in either base raid or arena.
And if that werent enough then did my badge mish (soul taker) to gain an accolade and badge for some of us.

Was a fun one to be sure! Grats on wining squishied with your team max, after getting knocked out in the first round (curses!) I watched most of your matches and they were highly entertaining. Thermal corruptors are definately a blappers best friend 
Was a shame about the base raid later that evening, they are usually allot more fun than that. Guess it doesnt help when the enemy SG spawns right next to the "Disco of Death" area

Well mine bloody wasn't 
In my favour, it was the first time i've ever PvP'd with my thermal and it was a completely new spec i'd only tested in a one on one against Max but I came out of the match with the opinion that thermals suck.
It was me and Jum's Blapper up against another blapper and a mind/emp troller and we were just helpless. TK had Jum pinned in the corner for pretty much the entire match. I kept running past and slapping thaw on him but it was taking more than two stacks to allow him to break it and everytime I applied one, the damn blapper hit me with total focus.
Warmth is also the worst damn heal i've ever seen for PvP. I was legging it from the blapper and he'd hit me and drop me into the red leaving me two choices, carry on running and hope he doesn't blast me or heal. I tried both and EVERY time I healed, the rooting on warmth allowed him to catch me or get back in line of sight and finish me off. Compared to their empath who could happily heal while on the move and for a much higher amount of HP 
I also had two occasions where the heal fired and healed Jum... After I had died
I think we lost 10-6 in the end but that makes the match seem a lot closer than it actually was as the other team were all over us from start to finish and won because of two simple things - The stupidly high MAG of TK and the horrid rooting of warmth that just made me a sitting duck in the small map.
The crash after 4 minutes didn't help as we were winning the first fight and it gave them time to change insps and tactics and get a much better map for them.
Losing isn't annoying but it's the complete helplessness we had during the fight that was so frustrating.
Sounds like you just had a really harsh first match Kin. TKing an opponent is a cheesy tactic (especially if you are not prepared for it), I experienced how helpless it leaves you in that big arena brawl we all had.
Unfortunately there are always going to be people who take advantage of tactics like that.
On the opposite side of things, people will always want to make Strong PvP builds (for obvious reasons heh), so I can understand someone wanting to use a tactic like that against them, especially if it almost guarentees a win.
On the plus side at least TK leaves the user prone to other attackers, so its less safe to abuse in zone PvP or anything outside of 1v1 or 2v2 duels.
Anyway, I am still impressed with thermal corruptors in team PvP. I may even make one myself

But you have an empath on CoH!
After getting Kin to 50 then going over to CoH and rolling my first ever empath I've been practically soiling myself at how much better they are.
If there was no CoH or CoV and it was all just one big game, no one would roll a thermal for PvP. People would either roll a Blaster or an Empath and the only reason thermals are popular is because it's the closest thing we have to a watered down version of an empath on villains.
I'm also pretty damn sure that if I coule play with myself(insert innuendo here), Exofrost would perform MUCH better than Kinslayer in a fight.
I guess its how you play them. I try play mine as half defender and half blaster. As you know my corruptor is a more aggressive one with a number of attacks to choose from. Yours Kin is a lot more support orientated with fewer attacks making you more defender orientated (although the few attacks you have do hurt).
In my first match I thought we had lost horribly as I found myself being TK'd. Fortunatly whilst I was incapacitated Blue Freezer was able to do enough damage to take one of the opposition out.
The reason why I love my thermal is due to it being a hybrid of a defender/blaster. I like being able to attack which if you are an empath defender something you are unlikely to do.
Im sure with abit of practise Kinslayer would be fine. Remember the opposition you face make a huge difference. You wont be able to win every fight and what gave us the edge was our damage potential. Blue Freezer was able to do massive burst damage and with me helping we were able to take down most people before one of us fell. If we were using an empath then this wouldnt be really possible due to not being able to do the damage needed. Most healers wont be able to withstand high burst damage attacks which a corruptor and blaster can deal. Yes warmth sucks when compared to an empath but we cant have everything.
I think Exofrost would probably find it hard going too (cant see you being able to do much difference from the fight you lost in). I really enjoyed them fights and if you want im sure can get Blue Freezer to have afew fights against you and Jum.

lol, Exo would have destroyed them.
With Jum spending the whole match TK'd in the corner it basically boiled down to me against the blapper. His one trick was the Total Focus stun and kill but he wouldn't have even got close to Exo. Snow Storm dropped on him to keep him at range while I spam my hold and seconds later he's held as the recharge on it's so quick.
I rarely have trouble with Blappers on Exo and it's Trollers and Spine Scrappers that are my achilles heel in one on ones.
I'll definitely be taking Exo over Kin for Suckerpunched(Where we have a stunning two entries from Force Of Immunity in the form of me and Jum )
Well there are various little tactics you can use. I think I would prefer fighting you as Exo as I reckon can get past the obvious tactics you probably use. I would much prefer having a heal and turning my partner into a killing machine. It be a case of wearing you out of inspirations which would not take too long.
Well its all theory and I could be a million miles away but somehow our team managed to progress all the way so thermals cant be that bad.
Anyway, is it just you 2 for suckerpunch then? Im positive we will be fielding an entry and maybe even able to form 2. Im sure we could fit you into a team if you are struggling.
UPDATE
We shall be holding a meeting this Sunday at 7.30 pm BST in our base. Afterwards will be having another supergroup photoshoot as some missed the last one and we also now have several new faces.

EVIL Wednesdays is still going strong. However, it might be an idea for those below level 20 wanting to join us to try and catch up. Shouldnt take too long and if you need a team just shout on coalition (and dont forget to pick up manoeuvers in the leadership pool
Not only will this make missioning that much easier we will all be able to do some SF's (dont want to turn people away) and maybe abit of teamed pvp in sirens.
