i hear war mace/ shield is great lots of mitigation and aoe but either would be good
though axe is endurance heavy sometimes
One by one bunny's steal my common sense for banana's on Ebay.
Both Axe & Mace are great combos to go with Shields. Low levels will be real tough on your endurance, but the damage (and the graphics) from both are worth it in my opinion. Shields may not seem great at first, but as you aquire new powers (and the endurance to use them) it become a fantastic set.

Really anything/shield is a good combo, lots of pbaoe damage I have found is the way to go. Build-up + Shield Scharg + Whirling axe = lots of damage!! I would recomend not taking taunt from your primary powerset as Against All Odds in your secondary set is an auto-taunt that up's your damage per baddie around you!
I've been away from CoX for awhile, and the Battle Axe/Shield combination for Brutes caught my eye. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good build? Is this a viable combo? Thanks.
