Broad Sword/Willpower build critique

So this is the build I'm currently running. I'm not sure where I should go next in terms of IOs, so I thought I'd ask the Scrapper forums =] I'm sitting on a Respec, so rearranging slots is no problem. I ultimately want to solo AVs (I haven't tried in a while, though) Suggest/Critique/Advise away, but don't go super-purples on me:

Super purple meaning you can afford one set of purple, not 5? or just none of them? =o

Some broad strokes on your current build...

1.) Take Whirling Sword. It's a nice AoE attack.
2.) Slot Parry like an attack with some Defense enhancement. You are spamming it anyway, do some damage with it.
3.) 3 slots in Swift... Really?
4.) Delay Stamina (late 30's). Prior to that, Quick Recovery is plenty.
5.) Drop the To-Hit Debuffs in RttC. Not much return for the slots.
6.) Slotting for Super-Jump is not the greatest...
7.) Don't slot Disembowel with Kinetic Crash... The bonuses are OK, but you get more milage out of something like Crushing Impact.

Just some quick impressions...

On my MA/Willpower I 3 slotted CJ and SJ with BotZ for 3.13 range and AoE defense good return for the slots I must say.

Also just a quick question, SoW is skippable? I always thought it was a good power, but I am going to revamp my build when I get home and check and see what it is like and try to take out another two powers so I can get stamina because Willpower toggles plus the fighting pool seem to require high amounts of recovery and I don't have the Numina's IO yet.

That depends on who you ask. Some ppl love it some ppl hate it. I like the power but yes it is Skippable. It is not an I win bottom like MoG. It gives you ok buffs but nothing great. You're not going to suck with out it and you might not even notice not having it.

I think Strength of Will tends to be underrated. A 30% resistance buff may not sound like much, but as stacked on your other resistances, it's going to cut smashing/lethal damage in half, and knock a third off the others. It's a significant survivability boost. I'll agree, while cringing, that it's skippable. But I wouldn't skip it.

The beauty of SoW is that with QR and Stamina, the endurance crash is very managable for a well-built /WP scrapper. Because of this, it's essentially a survivability boost with little or no drawback. Not an I-Win button, but it doesn't become an I-Lose button either, and it helps to plug the burst damage hole that can be Willpower's Achilles heel.

And since SoW is fully enhanceable for resistance with just a few slots, it's also a good place to slot a few Aegis or Reactive Armor pieces for a bit more typed defense.

It's skippable in the sense that you won't be gimped without it, but it's a good power choice if you can fit it into your build.
