Keyboard vs. Vent (Getting them to work together)

Okay, strange question, maybe someone has had this problem, and knows of a fix. Maybe no one has ever heard of this problem, and is going to scratch their brains on it for a few minutes in wonder of how this could happen.

I play CoX on a laptop: Asus G50VT series, running Vista 64-bit, NVidia 9800, Intel Core2 Duo, 2.26 GHz, 4 GB RAM.

Now that you know what I'm working with here, lets get to the issue:

I have Ventrilo, and use it quite regularly. Sometimes, my keyboard 'crashes' on me, only when I am using Vent. I cannot type, at all, in CoX, but I can alt+tab out and type in a notepad, or web address, or any other program other than CoX. Generally, it requires me restarting the game, but the 'fix' may or may not last through the duration of my gameplay.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if they did, how did they fix it?

I stopped using Ventrillo.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I use vent extensively. No issues here.

I'll give you the AOL tech support question. "Did you shut down and restart your computer?" lol

I'd look out the sounds card drivers to start.

To Flu: HAHA! Love the AOL Tech Support question. In answer, yes...Multiple times.

To 300: Yes, both programs are being run as Admin. Probably should've put that in my original post, but simple details tend to slip my mind, like that.
