Scroll wheel issure

I just changed to a new pc. On my old pc when I was in game I was able to zoom in and out using my mouse scroll wheel. I am unable to do so on the new pc. I am using the same mouse as before. I looked through the keymapping options in game but was unable to set both zoom in and out to use the scroll wheel. Any suggestions?

Check the Mouse driver you are using.
There is a slight differences between things like "Standard Mouse" and "Standard Wheel Mouse".

Also, there might be specific drivers for the mouse you have as well.

Also sometimes Mice come with remapping software that can conflict with a game.

If you have a mouse that have its own control panel, try changing the 'scroll wheel' to 'middle button'.

Try this:

/unbind MOUSEWHEEL

And if that doesn't work:

/bind MOUSEWHEEL "+camdistadjust"

And if that doesn't work:

Try a different mouse. If that works, it's your mouse's problem. You might want to try deleting the mouse driver altogether and reboot and let the OS find a new default driver. And if that doesn't work, go to your mouse's manufacturer's website for a new driver.

Thanks for the help everyone. Apparently Vista has issues with the drivers for the mouse I am using, an older MS laser mouse. So I am off to get a new mouse.
