Vanguard Merits for non-Rikti missions? (solved)

Last night, while on to do some enhancing, I ended up on a team battling some of the AVs in arcs on PI. Went up against Infernal, Chimera and Shadowhunter. At the end of two of the missions I got the notice:

"Vanguard Merits awarded"

Now none of these have anything resembling Rikti in them, and unless some of the demons or Warwolves were spies, then something is up.

Could be message is wrong, as I didn't check the actual merit count til after the second instance, and did not do any other missions after that. Checked to see if this was mentioned anywhere else on the forum, but no mention.

Anyone else seen this?

Did you logoff in the Vanguard base recently?

Most likely it is the Vangaurd Day job bonus

That could be it! Though I was expecting to see Merits for our AV thwackdown and didn't.

So, some of those Demons and Warwolves WERE Rikti spies!
