Missing mouse cursor

Hi there,

I had the black screen on startup problem, but fixed it with reverting my Nvidia drivers to the 185 versions instead of the 186 versions. But now, when the login screen comes up, I have no visible mouse cursor. I can manage to input my password and select a character with a lot of difficulty, and get in-game, but the mouse cursor's missing there too.

Any ideas of what could cause this, and how I can fix it?

Update to Service Pack 2.

I'd also recommend going through Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

This can be avoided by running in windowed mode, though that CAN make your screen res a bit odd. There's also a -compatiblecursors1 switch you can add to your shortcut, but for me I find it crashes the game under Vista. So I'm stuck with window mode.

Things to remember:
-Common sense ain't;
-Overkill is the only kill;
-If someone asks if you're a god, run away.

Thanks all! I d/l'd the SP2 update for Vista 64, and turned on the compatible cursors, and now it works.

You all have the patience of saints, and your help with these things is greatly appreciated.
