/Fire Armor and IOs
I went for maximum recharge. I team and use insps so I never felt squishy. Being Katana, I also had DA to carry me through the low levels (not using it much since level 33).
+HP and +rech (not necessarily in that order as both are pretty important for a Fiery Aura character). I'd probably aim for something around 1800 HP and maybe 30-50% recharge.

On my fire/fire, I went for rech, then hp, then regen. I got healing flames to 13 second recharge. I can't remember my exact hit points but i have all 4 of the auto accolades. I still need more recharge. I'm trying to get fsc to fire twice in one BU. That will allow it to fire 4 times with FE up. I even picked up tough... A hard choice for me but pretty much needed. Didn't take weave though. The only content I really had the squishy feeling was when I was in striga fighting the puppies at lvl 22 trying to get silver bullet. Them dogs have bite. Lol

With my Fire/Fire I went with Melee soft-capped Defense. I force my enemies to go into melee and then melt them.
This has worked really well for me but is by no means one of the top solutions. It just cuts out most of the damage you're going to be taking - from being up in your enemy's grill, burninating them.

Well for me I when with +def and Recharge. I have my defense in the 20%, which helps a lot. That I worked of my recharge. I have HF up every 13sec with hasten up and I do good.
With /Fire being regarded as pretty squishy out-of-the-box, I'm interested in hearing what people do with IOs for their /Fire scrappers to strengthen them up for PvE (farming, TFs, etc). Defense perhaps? Resistance? Just curious in general as I have a slight urge to roll one, but don't want to be a glass cannon. Primary is irrelevant to me at this point.
