DB/SR, choosing between 2 final builds

So far, she's level 36, and I'm starting to think about what my level 50 build will look like. I have 2 final builds that I'm weighing.

Build 1 has positional soft-capped defense at 45% to all 3, let's me keep all of my DB set attacks, and forgoes the Fighting pool in favor of the Medicine pool. It also let's me keep my preferred travel pool (Flight).

54.1% melee, 51% ranged, 51.2% AoE, as well as 12% psi defense. I'd have to lose Flight if I want to keep Hasten.

Is build 2 worthwhile on any level? How effective is the defense debuff resistance of SR? I haven't experienced it first-hand. I don't think the cost will be radically different in either case.

In either build, I'll probably end up moving Dodge and Focused Senses down a bit, as well as work in the medicine pool earlier.

I can't answer this without bias because of two things. 1) I hate the fighting pool when I know there is another way (see build one). 2)that same build has my most favorite power in the game removed to make room for *cough* the fighting pool...

Defense debuff resistance in SR is great -- 95% if you slot all the way up. Not sure what two-slotting your passives will do to that.

I'd say Build 1 no contest -- you still can do the Weaken combo, so if you get debuffed a bit, run Weaken to protect yourslef and the debuffs will wear off in a few seconds. And it has everything you want otherwise.

Hrm...I have a young DB/SR...this gives me ideas.

edit for clarity: My MA/SR runs around 47-48% and very rarely gets knocked below 45% by Cimeroran traitors...the defense recovers after a little bit. I toggle on Combat Jumping to help out a little (normally don't need to run it) and use my knowkdowns/knockbacks while I wait it out. If it gets bad enough (generally only against Possessed Scientists, whose Earthquake defense debuff is non-resistable, which might be a bug) I tap a purple -- and Build Up; killing them works well too!
