Noodling around on Mids eventually led to the creation of this monstrosity as the alternate build for my huntsman. I think the original goal was to create a pseudo-mastermind build with the spider pets, but when that didn't pan out I just made a blasty build using the mace.

So, while I'm sure someone out there has tried this before, is anyone able to vouch for it as either completely unworkable or a viable (If non-optimized) build?

My experience with the mace beams is that they are pretty bad. I tried them when SoA's first came out and quickly respec'd out of them. Unless they got buffed between then and now they are still probably that way.

The good news is that they look pretty cool and your teammates will notice you a lot more. It could be pretty fun, but you won't be doing a ton of damage.

Looks like you know what you want and how to go for it. Banes are of course much more damaging in melee, and your kill speed will be much lower than if you had melee attacks as well, but as long as you slot poisonous ray well, you should be fine.

As one of the First to be a Ranged Bane!

Thats right, 1-50 all Ranged Bane baby! When SoAs first came out. I enjoyed it, I really did. Its tough, but you know what, it was fun.
