Well, im still working on this in MIDS on my free time, still have to see something I like... At least someone can suggest which combo to forfeit? Though I heard that combos arent /that/ neccesary with stalkers vs other DBers. *keeps browsing and bulding*

You can play DB's without combos, but I find that some of the combos are useful. Attack Vitals I find very useful as the added dot damage adds up, and can be used outside of hide effectively. Sweep is actually underrated (probably my most favorite), but it requires you to be in hide, use build up, assassin strike, and ablating strike. If assassin strike/ablating strike misses the combo fails. At least with attack vitals you can start the chain again with ease if there is a miss. Empower uses build up/ assassin strike as well so you have to make a choice between it, and sweep. More often than not sweep is more useful. Empower also requires the use of placate so I find that is the least used combo for my play style. I am able to use all three combos because I have taken all the attacks thus far. If you do not take all the attacks you may not be able to use either sweep or attack vitals. I am leveling still, but I will eventually try the fourth combo.
I've gone through this a few times already. This is a concept character, and the travel powers have to stay where they are. I woudl appreciate some feedback on the levels I took the powers, and if someone has any suggestion of what kind of slotting I could use(I could go with more or less cheap sets) I would really appreciate it

I have a 50 db/nin stalker, I'll assume most folks that think stalker DB sucks is because they tried a brute/tanker/scrapper and didn't enjoy it. Stalker DB is a different animal entirely. I don't use any combos at all, after seeing the power of BU/1kcuts/placate/sweeping strike vs a group of mobs for the first time I was hooked.

I enjoyed my DB brute but i would never make one again due to combo chains missing often on the third strike. Kinda sucks when you have to rely on combos and the last one misses, even with a ton of +acc on it. Granted, you dont HAVE to get a combo off but I kinda figured that was the point. Combo wise I get vitals and thats about it.
I'm still having a hard time making up builds, specially melee oriented builds. I have already the concept of the toon and just need something decent to level up. Only think I would like is teleport as the travel power. I don't really care if it has another travel power added, but teleport is a must for his concept.
And oh, common IOs is alright, if some sets suggested then as cheap as possible :S only my second toon redside so Im quite poor over there.
