So, not much more info than the titel. My wife and I are planning on pacting together a new duo, and was curious on everyones thought. Would a pair of fire/kins do well with no others? I'd think so, but curious for other opinions...

Pair up as Fire/Rads. Fire/Kin is ok low lvl and really starts blooming at 32 with your pets and just gets really powerful from there.

Fire/Rad (especially two) takes off at lvl 4 (double stacked AM FTW), and gets better and better from there. I can take on just about anything in the game with mine (and a duo can)!!!

Are you stuck with wanting 2 controllers?

A good meat shield is always nice, paired with a Fire/Kin or Fire/Rad.

A Scrapper with AoE's, like a Spines/ would be a great combo for either the Fire/Kin or Fire/Rad.

Or a Fire/Fire Tank.

Two Fire/Kins would be fun and powerful, but having leveled one to 50, I'd suggest a Controller/Scrapper or /Tanker combo. There are a lot of holes in Fire/Kin that a meat shield would cover.

Actually 2x Fire/Kin would be >> than Fire/Kin + tank or scrapper. Fire and Kin both stack to make the second much stronger than one alone.

I would agree with going with a pair of Fire/Rads instead though - /Rad does bloom earlier.

If you want to be able to take everything and anything on, fire/kin + ill/rad.

However, 2 fire/kins will be able to steamroll most everything, as would fire/rad + fire/kin.

Ill/rad has the survivability of being able to aggro with phantom army and phantasm's decoy and great debuffs, while fire/kin has great dps.

The biggest problem with fire/kin are the late blooming powers. The best and juiciest powers tend to be available after 32, so it may not be as fun to get there. Having 2 fire/kins at low level might just double the grind instead.

I appreciate all of the feedback. Last night, my wife and I rolled a pair of fire/kins, and they have been playing great together. We are staggering the powers that we take to help fill in holes in the builds quicker than a single troller can, and so far we are loving it!
