Teleport Bug

Haven't seen another post about this, I already /bugd it ingame.


Sometimes when teleporting onto a surface a long distance away (but not at your maximum range) you will be given a teleport targetting reticle at YOUR position, and clicking will result in a port that goes nowhere. This is new since i15, so far as I know.

Also, I am not sure if most people will notice this bug at all, but I notice it on my blaster because she has Boost Range and fully range slotted Teleport.

Does it happen when there is something behind you?

Because if you swing your camera around and it snaps close to you because of an object behind you, what often happens is that the camera winds up behind the object which is now invisible so you can see through it. However, since the targeting for TP is Line of Sight from the camera, you'll wind up going nowhere since the camera really can't see since it's behind an object.

The best way to tell if this is the case is to do this: Next time this bug shows up, snap the camera to first person view (be default the key 'B' toggles in and out of first/third person view). If that fixes it, then what I mentioned above is the case.

No, it happens when there is a surface at the location of the reticle that I can't see. No objects were behind me. I tested it from midair in the Shard.

Some open areas such as in city hall lobby; teleport is mostly unusable and shows as unselectable.


If it ain't broke set it on fire, then say it was a fault in the design.
