No. Only through the Updater.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

No torrent but you can speed up your download by altering the shortcut to the updater. Change your desktop shortcut by adding the following to the end of it.
-port 13094
put that at the end of the target, outside the parenthesis and with a space between the parenthesis and the -port.

50 hours? Are you on downloading the entire game?
Why not just purchase the Architect Edition in a store and install from the DVD. The the updates will only take a short time. Also, for the $20-$25 price of the box set, you will get a free month of play time ($15 value) and a choice of the Cyborg or Magic Super Booster ($10 value).
Also, if you have a friend that has the game installed, have them copy their installation to a DVD (or multiple cd's), copy those files to C:\Games\CoH, start the updater and point it to that directory instead of the default C:\Program Files\City of Heroes path.
Much faster download.

can't rly buy the game..no credit card..blablabla and bla..most of my friends are in different country..never heard of this game or are too Dum and don't even know english.i just need a way to resume..and you sayied som,ething about downloading the whole game..you mean i can download parts of it till it finishes?

No. By talking about downloading the whole game I meant "the entire game" as opposed to having it installed and just downloading "the last few updates".
There is no resume function that I know of when downloading the game this way. Then again, I've never tried to download the entire game, so I really wouldn't know.

EDIT: If I still had my old ISP I had in Colorado, I'd have my FTP site running and would put up several piecemeal downloads to get the game client files out to other players using this method. Unfortunately, my current ISP blocks outside access to servers, plus it would be really slow since my ISP is wireless and slow as it is. Maybe someone that has a decent connection and ISP that has an FTP server would be kind enough to zip up the game into multiple parts and host them so that new players can get the basic game easier and then only have to download smaller updates until Paragon Studios puts up a similar download on their end.
I really wish Paragon Studios would put back their old FTP where you could download the entire game installation. I think it was in two parts.

well..i download 15 kilobytes a sec.i don't think downloading just last few updates..by the way..where to download the last few updates?this is the last question.please give me a link or something to do on my updater to update just "the last few updates"please...

To do "just the last few updates", you'd have to already have the installation DVD from the Architect Edition and install the game from there, then run the updater and let it get the Issue 15 update and minor patches since then.
If you don't have an installation DVD you will have to download the entire game including the updates, or if you have a really old installation CD, it will take a long time to download the updates since that cd came out.

okay..gonna have to burn up my computer time for 50 hours till they put back the FTP or HTTP thingye back..Thx again ^^
Ok, I'll make it simple.
Look at your computer desktop. There should be a shortcut there that says City of Heroes.
Right click on the shortcut. Then click on Properties. In the Target window it should currently say
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe"
Change that to this.
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -port 13094
Then click on OK.
Exit the updater. It should save the progress you have made so far. Then click on the shortcut to start the updater again. Your download speed should now be much higher.

Yes, the updater is interruptible, it will save it's place.

TYTYTYTYTYTYTYTY..the port thingye didn't helped much but the thing with download can be resumed helped alot..tyyyy...the port thingye may be caused by Me not downloading in Program files but in Data Driver..wohoo..thx for help ^^ .after one hour and 25 minutes i will be able to play..omg..gonna say TY all day..
