Edit: Actually, just go to Menu -> Options, then scroll to the very bottom and click 'Save to default file' for both Chat Settings File and Window Settings File. Not sure the /command for the chat settings.

You can also save to specific files. If you wanted to load diff ui sizes where you have the UI positioned differently from one moment to the next you can use:
/wdwsavefile FILENAME.txt
/wdwloadfile FILENAME.txt
Doc Mech-Nec (Exalted): 50 Bots/FF MM
Crey Radiation Tank (Exalted): 50 Rad/Rad Corr
Servers: Exalted, Triumph, Champion
Alts: 32

I seem to recall reading a post a while ago about saving your screen layout and tabs, so when creating new characters you can quickly get your UI setup.
