Dark/Sonic Ranged Def Build
Drop 2 slots from vengeance and put Zephyr in CJ.
Also, put 2 Stupefy in HT.
And consider dropping HT to 2 slots and putting 4 dark watcher's despair in DN.

That's a valid option but I like having vengence up quickly since it has it's uses for PUG TFs and Speed TFs when we get crazy.

Rule of 5 prevents anymore use of Stupefy

That doesn't help the ranged defense goal but is a nice suggestion.
Thanks for the responses G.
Also, I'd at least 2 slot hasten.
Take slots out of Veng imo... or OG. Or both. Neither really "need" slots; I'd rather 3% more defense and hasten on max recharge personally.
GL HF!
I'd personally pick a different APP (that's if losing OG won't kill your playstyle too much), namely psi, six slot World of Confusion with purps (which I hear are relatively cheap... relative to other purple sets, that is) and that's a huge 5% ranged def set bonus that stays with you when you exemp...
Just some food for thought.
Hmmm, if WoC was avaible sooner or I could choose the armor as the Tier 1 I could see that...going to have to mess around with Mid's a bit more.
Typically my darks are ranged, I don't even look at the dark epic PP anymore on dark defs... usually psi (if any at all - def power pools really aren't that useful for dark).
Dominate from the psi epic is actually a pretty good hold/attack, iirc you can get some ranged def from a couple different hold sets or just 6 slot thunderstrikes (I love that the TS set gives a 1.25% and 2.5% ranged def bonus instead of just straight 3.75% - makes getting around the rule of 5 easier, plus the TS set is decently cheap (or at least it used to be if it isn't now).
My namesake is a Dark/Sonic Defender that I've re-built a few times over the years but I think I have decided on a build but would like some feedback to see if I could squeeze out an addition 3% ranged defense somewhere (without the PvP IO) to hit the ranged def softcap.
I'm currently running 42% Ranged Defense and easily softcapped when DN is toggled, but I don't want to rely on that power.
I team exclusively on this hero and I would like to keep my power picks as is.

I'm hoping some fresh eyes would help me find the additional 3% ranged defense to complete my softcapped build while maintaining the current power selection.
Thanks!
