Worm Hole
It teleports them to the spot and then knocks them back. Try sending them into a corner to get them to not scatter too much.
ok thx a bunch
Follow Lil's advice, wormhole the enemies into corners. Also, if you have hover or flight, try aiming wormhole's exit point below you (i.e straight down). This turns KB into knock down and can help contol the splatter.
WH is a very good power but it requires thinking and strategy to use it correctly.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi
Speaking about WH, how does it behave when I put full set of stun set that has knockback proc?? I want the +range bonuse defense but would the kb proc knocks them even further?
My Fortunata has full stun set with kb proc and it kbs as soon as the stun power hits. Does this mean that when kb proc happens, they get kb BEFORE they get ported? If that's the case, it may actually help reducing the alpha damage you take right before the foes get teleported (unless you do it out-of-sight).
Has anyone tried the full stun set in WH?
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
I haven 't tried the full set but have had I think 4/6 at one time including the proc.
It does indeed KB those affected by the proc before teleporting them. A somewhat iffy result since it's not exactly predictable when or what mobs will be affected.
It also, as you predicted, can keep a foe from retaliating while the wormhole animation plays but due to the KB surpession, they won't go anywhere. Basically if your intention is to move a group form point A to B, you have everyone stunned but some will be ported and some will not. If you goal is to keep a group where they currently stand, again you'll stun them all but create a delayed scatter effect... knocking those affected by the proc back a little during animation and the others further back once teleported.
Personally I use wormhole for better placement of groups and wanderers.... I got less satisfaction from not being able to rely 100% on whether or not a targeted foe(s) would be teleported or not.
"Situational power? Sure. Although in a sense... all powers are situational. It's just that some situations occur more than others." Understand the situation needed in order for the power to be most effective... and make that situation happen.
evidently I can't figure out how to use wormhole...or, it doesn't work the way I thought it did...when I use it, it doesn't teleport mobs to where I clicked the circle at, it just seems to knock them back or disorient them...any help or info on how it works is appreciated... thx
