Placate slotting? (PvP)

Some told me to add another slot in placate on my build (which already is 3 slotted)

Two rchg and two rng, that's what they've recommanded.

I really had no real problem with 3 slots(2 rchg and 1 rng) before I took a break from CoX, but I have no idea how's stalker PvP going right atm, so....

I'd like to get a bit of tips, if you guys don't mind sharing =)

Thanks.
Jin.

I'd say that 2rech/2rng is pretty solid slotting, unless you have slots to just sling around, then you could consider 3rech/3rng lol.

But yea, the range is nice in pvp, mostly due to "server lag" issues. At the base distance of placate, you can placate someone who is leaping in to attack you and 9 times out of 10 he'll STILL hit you with his MELEE attack. Why? Because when you started your placate your engine said that he was at the designated 40 feet for placate, he's moving at probably 70+ mph (so he'll cover 40 ft in no time) and your placate takes 1.5 seconds to fully activate. In 1.5 seconds, even without server lag, most players will cover 40 feet. Count server lag, and its a gurauntee they will cover 40 feet. The extra range simply helps you pull off more successful placate on people imho, especially against Ranged toons.

Plus, a Tanker who is spamming taunt can make a base range Placate basically useless against most players, as it's range is cut by 75%

Yo what's up Jin? Long time no see. If you don't have any slots available 2rech 1rng is fine, but if you've got space I'd fully slot it out. Not sure how tight your build is.

I like the range for just placating toons with Perception before attacking.

My build isn't all that tight if I give up my personal preferance on slotting a lot for SJ and SS =/ (like 3-4 slots each =x) Guess I'll just have to test it =)

Thanks a lot for the into, people =)
