Is it true about grav/em?
Well...If that's the reason people say it's bad, they're wrong. Grav doesn't negate knockback unless the enemy is held.
From what I can tell energy assault is a pretty good set now. The knockback would be more helpful in PvP if you weren't grav w/ lift, but eh. There might be something I"m missing since I haven't used the new EA.
Active (Freedom): Setna (Ice/Psi Dom), Arram (WP/KM Tank), Tesmiel (Elec/SS Tank), Astredax (Robot/Dark Mastermind), Operative Vidali (melee fortunata)
Retired (Virtue): Gaav (Inv/EM Tank), Baqra (Fire/SS Tank)
The 11sec stun on TF IS nice, but right now? So is the KU and KB with pvp, considering holds/mezzes are poop.
Grav/ gets to choose whether to -KB or not... more noticable in pvp since you'll never see your opp held or immobilized for more than a sec or two. Gravity's holds have -KB, and it's immobiles do not.
Immobilizing + KB can be a great way of keeping of foe grounded or in place long enough to knock them out of range while using the holds will prove useful for those times when you want your secondary effects to cease (ie building ledge , teammate's AS or AoE patch, etc)
"Situational power? Sure. Although in a sense... all powers are situational. It's just that some situations occur more than others." Understand the situation needed in order for the power to be most effective... and make that situation happen.
D:
I'm hearin' it's a horrible combo ('specially for pvp, which is what I'm going for) because grav grants kb resist, which kinda negates the reason I'd be taking /em.
TROOF?!
