nvidia nv4 Display Driver failure, CRASHING!!
C'mon somebody has to be able to help me.

Pretty much sums up what's going on with the drivers and laptops.
The laptop drivers are, by and large, *specific* to the laptop. I.E. NVidia themselves will not support the chips directly, you must go to the manufacturer (HP, in this case) and hope they have a driver that works for you.
However, that same site, laptopvideo2go.com, is where modded drivers can be had... but dang if I can figure out how to narrow it down, download, and use them.
One of the reasons I'm not a real laptop fan... this highly specialized driver stuff for video, audio, etc. And it's all due to the power thing, btw. Trying to eke out every single amp hour of energy from the batteries...
I dunno if that helps, but you pretty much see why nobody answered yet. It's difficult to deal with these laptop chips sometimes.

Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012
Thank you for the reply. I can't seem to recall if I did indeed get the driver from nvidia or hp, but i will go ahead and install(or reinstall) whichever driver is given by HP.
Thanks again!
Make sure you do a driver sweep or driver clean after uninstalling the old ones first...

Was hoping somebody could help me with a Driver problem. My laptop has a nvidia GeForce 7600 Go graphics card and I currently have driver version 179.48.
While I am playing the game it will suddenly freeze up and I get the BSOD, stating that the nv4 display driver has failed. This problem has become more common and annoying as of late.
After searching the internet for new drivers it turns out that nvidia has stopped releasing new drivers for this card, and that this problem is common among many people.
So I was wondering if anybody could help me fix this. Here is my CoH Helper info:
