RED CAP DAGGERS: if you want them red side on infinity, send a pm i have the mission to get them for dual blades.

i like using sets like red fortune which gives 5% rech on the 5th slot and 2.5% range defense on the 6th slot.

touch of death is nice too, 3.75% melee defense on the 6th slot.

the blessing of the zephr set is sweet too, 2nd slot gives 3.75% range, 3rd slot 3.75% aoe.

thunderstrike gives good set bonuses too, the 6th one offers 2.5% to range.

scirrocos dervish gives 3.75% aoe defense on the th slot and performance shifter gives 3.75% aoe defense on the 6th slot, as well as some good hit point, damage buff and movement bonuses.

these are some recipes that usually always show up in my builds.

i notice u have alot of attacks, ever think of droppin 2 for tough or for aid self?

Thanks for your help!

This is my second character and she's still only 24 so i'm not so sure what powers to take. I'll try the aid self power pool, looks nice. Thanks again.

Tough or Aid Self is a complete waste in my opinion for a Night Widow build.

Also you do not need to worry so much about area of effect defense as a Widow. Focus on melee or ranged defense. Look at the Obliteration set over Scirocco, or Eradication. Scirocco is a terrible set in my opinion because it only gives you about 88% damage and around 40-60% recharge in your powers where as other sets allow for greater %'s for damage, accuracy and recharge.

yeah but not everyone is in a sgor buys money online, so it is hard to get those sets, and still slot everything on a few other characters =(

Aid Self is a complete waste

As a categorical statement, I'd have to disagree with this.

Defense comes first in my widow build, but it doesn't always work reliably, in the sense
that some mobs debuff defense, and sometimes RNG lets you take a lot of burst damage
occasionally (call it streakbreaker or bad luck, whatever).

That seems especially true at higher difficulty levels and/or with EB, AV battles.

As a toon that only Duos with a friend of mine, or Solos, I definitely find the Med Pool
to be very beneficial for dealing with these situations.

I can see certain playstyles, or certain team combinations where that may not be the case,
but I, for one, have it on my widow, and I'm not the least bit surprised to see it in both
of TopDoc's high-end widow builds, in the guide he published, as well...

That question really depends on your playstyle.

Solo, I'd take it as early as I can fit it in (~L30 or so). That's still pretty late, because,
quite frankly there are a lot of good powers that should come first (like def toggles,
ML etc.).

Duo (as mine plays exclusively with my friend's NW currently), I've put it off till
the L40's, much as TopDoc did, but both my friend and I had Aid Other early in our
NW builds (teens). As we near L50, I know I'll still play mine, so Aid Self late is ok.

Teaming a lot, might eliminate the need for it entirely (depending on who your
teammates are). I disagreed with Novella's stmt in general terms, but it might be
perfectly reasonable for specific cases, depending on playstyle.
