Gravity blast

So... my grav/ff controller almost feels like a defender, because of all attacks he has available. I was thinking, it would be pretty fun to play with those same powers, but on a serious damage scale, so...

Gravity blast(telekinetic blast?)

Lift:Ranged, Moderate Damage (Smash), Foe Knockup
Force Bolt: Ranged, Minor DMG(Smash), Foe Knockback
Area lift: targeted aoe version of lift
Propel: Ranged, Moderate Damage (Smash), Foe Knockback
Aim
Gravity blast Ranged, Moderate Damage(Smash), Foe: Knockback (Telekinetic Blast clone)
anti Gravity well : placed aoe power that makes all the mobs inside it float & immob & -kb. (a reverse ice patch)
Crushing Wormhole: Ranged foe teleport, Foe disorient, knockback Damage(smash)
Gravitational flux: Nova clone with ff style graphics and immob component.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

The level 32 power should be "Super Black Hole" or something.

Black hole seems to be the obvious choice... but its taken.

Maybe make it a placed aoe power(like the rain powers) that sucks all the enemies to teh middle and damages them??

Call it gravity sink instead, all the enemies get pulled to a central spot and take massive smashing damage.

[/ QUOTE ]

Too bad there's not an effect in game that actually pulls enemies.

Yeah, as far as we know the game can't do that.

What about a mass teleport foe AoE that lumps them all together and does big damage?

That might be possible. Something like Wormhole from Gravity Control except that instead of stunning all targets in range after it teleports them, it simply deals damage to them. Of course, Wormhole still has its fair share of problems last I checked, mostly due to it being a teleporting attack.

Maybe something weird, like...

An AoE damage patch (like Burn, iginte etc... but larger/more damage) that come with a larger non-damage radius effect that slows and randomly TPs enemies back into the centre.

Call it Event Horizon or somesuch

KB from the opposite angle as the caster?

[/ QUOTE ]

Castle has actually said that it's impossible to do that without messing with the engine and creating an entirely new effect. KB and Repel can't be used because, in order to have it function in the opposite direction (re: move them towards the player), it would need to summon a pseudo-pet to generate the effect from a different location. The problem exists that it's impossible, if not simply unreliable, to generate a pseudo-pet anywhere except for at the feet of the target, not to mention what would happen if the target were moving in the slight delay between pseudo-pet summon and the pseudo-pet activating (minor movement would get magnified pretty intensely).

There is a reason that the effects that are supposed to have abilities similar to this (Omega Maneuver is the first that comes to mind) don't operate even remotely close to how you would think. Omega Maneuver accomplishes this by summoning an actual pet (re: targetable) that Taunts every nearby enemy and then self destructing shortly thereafter.

I could see a similar mechanic being used for a Blaster Nuke attempting the same effect. It would pretty much be Rain of Arrows with a Taunt effect attached (and different numbers, of course).

Not a fan. Way too much lifting, not enough gravo-crushing.

Doom.

Yep.

This is really doom.

I'd be all for something like this. Or, better yet, Gravity Assault for Dominators:

1) Particle Acceleration: Ranged, Moderate damage (Energy)
2) Atomic Rend: Melee, Moderate damage (Energy), Foe Knockback
3) Crushing Anchor: Ranged, Minor damage (smashing), Foe Slow
4) Gravitic Distortion: Melee, High damage (Smashing / Lethal), Foe disorient
5) Spatial Rend: Ranged, Moderate damage (Smashing/Lethal), Foe Teleport, Foe Disorient
6) Reverse Gravity: PBAoE Melee: Moderate damage (smashing), Foe Knockup
7) Event Horizon: Close (Cone) Minor damage (smashing), Foe -resistance (smashing)
8) Singularity Cannon: Sniper, Superior Damage (Smashing), Foe Knockdown, Foe Disorient
9) Implode: Close, Superior damage (Smashing), Foe Terrorize(?)

That would be cool and kind of what I was thinking.

Honestly, what i wanted was a powerset thats kind of like a jedi. throwing stuff around to damage mobs. We have a mental blast set, but not a primarily telekinetic based set. Also, gravo-crushing seems to much like grav control. Maybe for a /grav manipulation secondary?
