I think you should have something other than an auction for this one. Perhaps people can sponsor other players' bids. The idea that the person who pays the biggest huge pile of money is going to want to learn how to make large piles of money is kind of silly to me. Seems like that person would already know.

Actually, there will be door prizes at the event party that the auction is attached to so that the newbies have cash to bid on the biddees, though the auction is open to all, it's primarily for the newbs to get a game mentor.
In between mixing delicious breads this morning I decided that I spend way too much time at Icon and making costumes to NOT do a class about it!
I could cover such things as Capes, Auras, Combat Auras, locations of Icons, SG costumes, Old School vs. New School looks, Mixing and Matching sets, Purchasable costume pieces, the importance of color and keeping things simple for great costumes.
As well as (with a little help), hold a Costume Contest for them, and (baring I have that much cash) buying the Halloween Salvage for all in attendence.
Lemme know what ya think.

Well, the word needs to be spread. This is the first time an event like this has been run on Triumph to my knowledge. Hopefully, once July hits everyone involved can chat it up in-game for people who don't come to the forums.

As cool as all these auction ideas are, how much inf do you expect newbs to have?
Just my thinking but seems to me the ones who need this the most will be the ones who can afford it the least...

Suprinsgly cheap costume salvage I got 40 stocked up on MB now, should be good, but if not I have like 4-5 other alts with at least 30 million. Thanks for the offers though! =)

PapaSlade had a good idea about spawning GMs, especially redside. That might be a fun auction, particularly redside when a lot of the GMs spawn depending on kills in the zone.
