Cannot see any models

I recently installed this game onto my E6500 Laptop and everything works fine in the start. I log in, I pick the character I want to log in as and then it loads. After it's done loading all my bars will pop up (Chat, Options, HP) but the actual area where the game is supposed to be shown is the last thing that appeared on the screen. Example: After it's done loading the screen is covered in the loading map picture. If I open options then the options menu is there forever, even if I closed it. I turned all my graphics down to minimum and turned off all things like anti-aliasing and such. I also tried windowed mode which doesn't help. I can move and hear what's happening in the game. I already died because apparently I logged out last time in a mob spawn so I was able to run from the names that were floating in the glitchy screen (Failed though, I think I ran into a wall and got killed.) This Laptop is able to run Call of Duty 4, WoW (I'm a multi-MMO kind of guy.), Hl2 and all sorts of new games. I also tried reinstalling to no avail. Here's a picture of how it looks after a few minutes of playing and looking around.

Trippy!

Now that I've gotten that out of my system ...

<ul type="square">[*]CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
[*]HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format &gt; Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

I sure recognize that from a few years back..it was because I hadn't put my settings to 'single desktop' and 'no spanning of screen' (including child). I have always used Nvidia cards, so I had to adjust those settings in both tthe control panel and in the Nview. Hope that helps.

There's the culprit. Integrated graphics chips are great for web browsing, not so good for high-end video editing, graphics modeling and manipulation, nor for high-end 3D gaming. City of Heroes is definitely high-end.

Now, you already have all your graphics turned down. That was step one.

Step two is seeing if you can update your graphics driver. Check with Intel and Dell for a more recent version. Also, check with Dell to see if there is a more recent driver for the motherboard chipset/CPU. And make sure you have DX9. While you're check with Dell, see if your laptop can take a graphics card update.

Step three is posting your HijackThis, please, see the link above.

I also just noticed this at the bottom of your screen..
toolbar
there shouldn't be that many things running at once, unless you are double-boxing. Certainly, you could shut dow WMP and any other unneeded background things.

Well I was able to fix the problem with the help of the very excellent customer support team. Thanks all who posted here. Back to playing this epic game.

I think you need a refresher course on the taskbar.

From left to right:
* Start menu.
* Quicklaunch toolbar containing: Firefox, Desktop, and WMP. (Anything in this area IS NOT RUNNING).
* Active programs: Seagate 160(G - open drive folder, City of Heroes - open folder, Firefox, City of heroes.

Not shown in your clipped version:
Notification area: 4 programs running. (I've seen a dozen in that area, so that isn't it).

The two folders are (likely) opened by Windows Explorer and wouldn't degrade anything.

I will point out that even on a Celeron 1.8 with 1 Gig of ram I could run CoH, Firefox, WMP, notepad, and a couple of other programs.
