Wise to change?

I'm very satisfied with my fire/kinetics controller but Ive noticed something recently, I don't need hasten anymore since Ive respeced myself with new sets no longer needing hasten what so ever. So I feel its time for a change, to respec out of it and pick up fighting, but also I was wonder if I should drop tactics?


Its only a 15% tohit buff, does it really make a difference with flashfire? I have an absolute amazement set on it would just adding an acc io make up for the tohit loss from tactics? Was also thinking of grabbing stone mastery for seismic smash on bosses. Let me hear what you think.

Monitor "Last Chance to Hit" in the Base Panel of Combat Attributes next time you go on patrol. Toggle Tactics on and off per group.

You may well be hitting 95% anyway without Tactics for normal enemies, in which case Tactics isnt really worth it.

Also I have a 1.87x accuracy bonus from sets, would that be enough to spec out of tactics?

Fight some Nemmies. Kill 2 or more Lts at once and let them stack Vengence. See what your to hit is then. Then fight some CoT or other debuffing foes. Again, see what your to hit is. If you're satisifed w/your hit rate w/o Tactics, you're set. Of course if you're just farming set opponents, you don't need to worry about this.

I agree with dave_p. To hit buff >> accuracy. If you actually play that character rather than just farm, you may run into stuff you have trouble hitting. On the other hand my Ill/Kin doesn't have tactics, and doesn't seem to need it regardless of what she's fighting so yea you may not need it.

Tactics offers more than just +tohit and it helps the whole team. Make sure you are ok with giving up its other extra perks too.

this is important. since heroes fight arachnos with some regularity and a few of their mobs have smoke grenade and equivalents, the +perception is darn handy
