Well let me be the first to say that forts got nerfed. Defense in general and the fact that SoA dont have defense debuff resistance .. well...
Yeah anyways forts will still do better than NW imo. Its easier if you want to play zone. Ive switched into a build that has no phase and gets the temp hyper phase instead. Anyways fort dmg isn all too great but the attacks are very quickly activated. So just proc everything twice or thrice .. minimum. Try to make a build in which ure defense is at about 50-55 in pve. Use the fact that you have a higher stealth cap than anything except stalkers to your advantage.
Both widow branches were hit hard in pvp in i14. I've been looking at this for a while since I love playing my widow in pve and wanted to work out a way for her to pvp as well.
In the end I came up with an NW based build using poison dart, mental blast, and spirit shark alongside some melee, plus for taking advantage of the faster mindlink recharge, mental training, and possibly elude (will be testing on test before doing it on live).
Forts do have more and more heavily proccable ranged attacks, and will almost definitely work out better for if you never ever want to get into melee with anyone, though.
Either way you'd almost surely be better off building your stalker for pvp instead (even at range - stalkers get to throw two kinds of sharks instead of one...)

i can win half of the scrappers out there and some trollers but i just go pretty much to have fun and dont expect a win, period.
i have my melee, range and aoe more than soft capped, decent damage buffs and max hit points.
the mezs like dominate really help alot and grabbing aid self.i spam dominate (hold) as much as i can so i can have a chance to run in and use lunge and strike, then run back and attack at range with mental blast ( -recharge) then subdue (imob).
my toon is great pve but pvp wise eh. i changed her build for pve pretty much since my useless in pvp now. but, this build is what i use and win like 1/4 of blaster, troller, defender and scrapper fights.

Hey, I just activated after havent played in a long, long time...(closed beta lol)
I leveled my stalk to 50, and made a widow for PvP.
First, Fortunata is better than NW in pvp? Also does anyone have a link to a build I could use for fort pvp? Purples are a little out of my range, but some pvp sets and such aren't.
ive tried working with mids, but I don't know exactly what I should be going for with the build...what to cap, what not to cap, what sets to use, etc.
any help would be a appreciated.
