Which Rig?
Hmm. Ati still has issues with CoH. and i've always run into issues with Ati so i tend to steer cler of them, though i still have one here. I'm not sure about the 9400M, you might not be able to turn up the eye candy but it'll definetly run. Alienware, well thats the be all and end all of performance laptops.
Combat Kangaroos, Justice Server. First 50's
Jirra Roo Plant/Storm/Stone/Musculature Controller
Combat Kangaroo Rifle/Energy/Mace/Spiritual Blaster
Kung Fu Kangaroo Martial Arts/Reflexes/Body/Spiritual Scrapper
Tribal Arc Shield/Elec/Mu/Spiritual Tanker
the macbook pro should be able to handle most things fine with the 9400 (along with the ability to do other amazing things that apple is capable of). Also, the iMac is nice if you don't mind a desktop. Be ready for a slight learning curve if you've never had a mac before though.
I have seen so many user reviews of Alienware and everyone hates them. The stuff goes bad quickly and their service department is horrible. Their computers are also very pricey.
You'd be better going to a place like Cyberpower or Ibuypower and build a computer (desktop or laptop) from there with the high end components you want. Sorry to diss alienware b/c I've never had one personally, just heard horrible things online and from people I know.
So, I was thinking of getting a new laptop/ or a desktop next year. my main problem was whether I should go and grab an iMac with th ATI radeon 4850 graphics, a macbook pro with an nvidia 9400M, or an alienware laptop with I have no idea what kind of sick graphics. I was thinking more along the lines of the iMac, but I was also tied between having a laptop. So, would I be fine playing CoH on the macbook pro, or should I get the iMac just for much better performance?
