Question on Mission "Plant Bombs in Arachnos Base"

This is the mission from Willy Wheeler. I've cleared the thing 3 times now and can only ever find 4 bombs. There's one on the first level. Take elevator. Find the second one in one of the rooms on the second level. Find two more in the big open room with multiple levels. I can NEVER find the fifth bomb. Is there a door/elevator/portal/something I'm missing? There's an Arachnos door/portal in the big open room, but I can't get it to open. Thanks in advance for any help!

Well, I don't think that mission uses the same map for everyone, so not sure how much we can tell you there.

Do you have your speakers turned on when running this mission? The bombs make a sound like any glowie does, so you should be able to hear it when you get close.

The glowies have set possible locations in any mission, but can be randomized between them if there are less glowies than the potential number of spots.

First, welcome to the game, and I hope you're enjoying your stay in the Rogue Isles.

Second, the "plant bombs" mission involves finding clickable objects commonly referred to as "glowies" in CoX, because the objects themselves glow. They're notoriously hard to find.

However, the glowies also make a humming noise that helps you locate them, so if you have your sound turned down, you might miss one.

As far as suggestions for finding the last bomb go, try looking under stairwells or just inside doorways. Those are areas easy to run past.

Good luck!

You better get used to finding them.I can't tell you how many times I have had to plant bombs. It is almost as recurring as rescuing people.

As mentioned, the map used is random.
The only tricky (really tricky) Arachnos map room I can think of is a huge multi-level room with what looks like a center power core/generator, and the lowest level has pooled liquid around it.
In that room there is a level at the very top that can be accessed by a not too obvious elevator. When you first enter the room at the middle level, straight ahead is a ramp and the elevator door is located just to the right of that ramp. Of course, if you have flight, just fly up circling the room center and you'll see how many levels there are.

PS: The bombs used to be tiny red sticks of dynamite. Really hard to find. You young whippersnappers have it easy!
