I am mostly pvp orintated. I have two blasters, a fire controller, and a stalker i pvp with. I have a bots/FF which is boring. I want to try out another MM in pvp. I like the look of thugs, and I heard that the last power in poision is great with the bruiser. My question is do these powers work well in pvp, or should i trash the idea? What powers would be good to take, and what ones should i skip? Also anyone know what IO's i should use to max out the effectiveness? Thanks for all the info.

Thugs/Poison is a very powerful combo in melee that is basically undefeated by most builds.

If you play on Infinity message Trance, he's a pretty good Thugs/Poison PvPer.

If not you can always message him on the boards with a PM.

If you can get familiar with moving your pets around comfortably you would improve your survivability and your pets greatly. Someone had made a Thugs/Poison and visited RV quite often going through respec after respec trying to improve and finally asked what powers I took and those that I dropped.

Even with the same build he still struggled but I tried to advise him to keep his pets seperated from him and not clustered together to get the full blunt of AoE attacks.

Many experienced PvPers will target pets first and not straight for you. Just havin' 1-2 pets knocked off makes a big difference. If you can afford or put up with it you may want to drop your travel power for Presense Pool to avoid such cases as I picked up Leadership, Medicine, and Fitness.

Fitness is pretty obvious why I picked it. Aid-Other helps heal pets in between fights. Heals more than Alkaloid and less endurance.

Picked up Leadership for Assault to reduce Taunt effects and the extra damage boost -- and Tactics to pick up stealthy foes and ToHit for the Tier 1 and 2 pets.

I picked up Black Scorpion's Webnade, Power Boost, and Web Cocoon. Really good -slow -recharge -fly powers stacked together with Neurotoxic Breath.

From the top of my head I didn't pick up Antidote, Poison Trap, and Elixer of Life as I spec'd my build for PvP. But, it does really well in PvE, as well.

As I said before if you really wanna do well I urge you to get comfortable with using Goto command. However you figure it out using binds or the pet window interface. I've had several people ask me to send binds for them but personally I use the pet window to move pets around. Sounds ridiculous but its wicked easy.

If you cant figure out the binds then I'll somehow explain how I play with the pet window.

Good luck
