TCP/IP problem?
Do you run any anti-malware, anti-spyware, anti-virus?
What is the IP address you are seeing? The actual address might be a clue.
Just shooting from the hip without more info, I would say you have some malicious code running around.
Yeah, that sounds like something messing with the hosts file or DNS. Definitely run multiple anti-virus and anti-malware programs on that system. (It might not be a problem on the local computer, but that's the prime suspect.)

Looks like some kind of hijacker/trojan is redirecting you. I recommend installing Spybot Search & Destroy, Spyware Blaster and AVG Antivirus (even the free version is fine), updating & running them ASAP.

Anybody ever have a problem where their Intranet and Internet only works for the first 10 minutes after you boot up and log on? When I start up in the morning and kick off IE, I get "Loading www.cnn.com" and it works. 10 minutes later, I do the same thing, and I get "Connecting to 10.1.666.666" (or some such number) and it doesn't work anymore. I can reboot to fix the problem, but that only lasts another 10 minutes, then I have to do it again. Anybody ever seen this?
