missing merits

Not to sure as far as posting something like this but whatever.....my SG and I ran a Sister Psyche TF a few nights ago did it in about 2 hours 4 minutes, well when it came time for the tf to be done, I got the badge for it. Where are my merits I never received for it? Nothing came up saying "you received 50 merits" just the badge. I have sent petition about it since then and nothing is being done. You know its sad when you pay monthly and asked for help because the system wants to mess up and dev's dont wanna do their job right and fix it . I know there just merits but I should of received them reguardless. Just shows how lazy the dev's are when it comes to fixing problems. Im not here to start no up's and down about it all but thats what i had to say and some will agree and some wont. anyways i did the TF like everyone else on my team i cant see why i cant have my reward?

Did you check your salvage for the merits? I've done Manti twice, Sissy, and the ITF without getting the notice of a merit reward, but after a check of my salvage it's there.

I have a few silly questions, but just to verify:
1) You checked your salvage tray, under "Special" or "All", and they weren't there.
2) You participated in all of the TF missions, and did not log out after joining, just to log in right before completion. You were inside the mission maps during the combats, not out street-sweeping some other zone, visiting Icon, or some other activity?

You did get the badge for it, so there is proof that you actually did the TF. Relax and please quit assuming that nothing is being done, just because you cannot see the results yet. They will have to check the logs to verify the merit (no pun intended) of your claims, right after every other petition that is sent. It should be taken care of before Wednesday. In the meantime, check your (out-of-game) Email (the one your account is attached to) to see if you have any messages there.
It would surprise me that a 7-days-a-week operation like a MMO would have fewer employees on hand on a weekend, but they just might. In which case, they might be reviewing a stack of weekend petitions today. Hopefully, after Server Maint, you will find a shiny new stack of merits on your character.

Also:
A) The statement that the powers-that-be in this game are lazy is false.
b) I hope that everything works out for you. Good Luck.

OK, you say you did the TF "a few days ago" - how many?

Have you checked your email account to see if there is a message there? The one you used to register the game? When I petition something and the character isn't on-line when a GM tries to respond (and it may take time to free up a GM to answer your call, BTW, that's the way it works sometimes) - then I receive an email asking if my issue has been resolved and of not, giving steps what to do next.

So my advise is to go check that email account - I'm betting your next step is there rather than to come to the forums and call the devs "lazy" (always a bad idea, BTW).

P.S. The GMs in the game aren't the Devs. GMs fix individual issues like your bug here. Devs don't fix things like 1 character missing merits. On a weekend, there may be only so many GMs available to handle issues in-game. Sometimes, I have gotten a GM response within minutes, sometimes, it doesn't come until much later after I have looged off for the night.

First off, this is a good way to get the devs to put you on ignore. Back Alley Brawler does ignore people who call the devs lazy or stupid. I'm sure others do as well, he's just the only one who has come out and told us he does.

Secondly, this sounds like a recent bug, as I have not encountered it or heard about it until now.

Third, just because it's not fixed yet doesn't mean they aren't working on it. Fixing a bug isn't as easy as some people think it is. A bug could be being caused by something apparently unconnected to what the bug is affecting, and it takes time to sift through all the programming to find out where it's coming from. There's no "Bug Fix" button they can press to solve the problem, they have to FIND the problem first. The programing of the game is all interconnected. A slight tweak to, say, Voltaic Sentinal, could cause Synapse's head to disappear in Skyway City. They can see what the effect of the bug is, but there is no indication that the source is the tweak to Voltaic Sentinal until they actually look at the power.

And rightly so, IMO. When a customer goes straight into hostile gradeschooler mode at the first sign of a problem, is that customer really worth the trouble of bending over backwards to help? Honestly, I wish they'd take a page out of old Gord's book. In fact, more businesses should follow his example rather than letting customers walk all over their CS...

I ran a TF once and did not get the merits reward. I immediately petitioned it, and the merits were given to me because there is a way to track if/when you complete a TF and if the merits were awarded. I would suggest you petition the action.

Has a much better chance than coming to the forums and posting a knee-jerk rant about how lazy the devs are.
