Looking for help with my SS/SD build
I would think you'll really be hurting for attacks in that build; even with hasten nearly perma, stomp and KO blow won't be up that often.
@Dysc, on virtue:
Virtue blues: Overnight (DP/MM), Kid Ridiculous (FC/rad), Panorama (Ill/time)
Virtue reds: Block Party (SS/SD), Goldcrush (earth/fire), Deadwire (claws/elec), Snowcrush (ice/kin)
Havn't really had a problem so far, between the 4 AoE's most things are dead, move to the next mob most things are recharged. And if not I fill with Sands or Blackwand
What budget are you working with? Obviously fairly decent. If you look in the SS/FA or SS/SD post on this page, you'll see I posted my dream build for my SS/SD.
In my build, I also think I'll probably drop out the third slot in Super Jump for the Panacea unique.
I saw your build. Personally I don't like it.
You've sacrificed a lot of Regen and HP, and done the one thing I can't bring myself to do, slot attacks I'll never use.
If it works for you, thats awesome, I just can't stand the thought of 5 slotting brawl.
was doing good ole JoJo AE on my fire/kin. had an ss/sd brute tanking. he did a great job.
he didnt need all that much healing really. he had severe end problems though (i didnt look at his build but he had a few io sets) but was rocking the footstomp something fierce. he wasnt untouchable by any means - once those dual bladers start hitting an /sd brute with those ablating strikes they continue to hit the same brute unless that brute IS already io'd the hell out - and when tyrant spawned it was touch and go. but he did ok
/sd is simply not inexpensive to cap out both it's positional defense and it's defdebuff resistance.

Those are the attacks the OP is planning on using. If you are implying you'd never use those attacks, I'm confused as well.
To the OP:
Super Strength is very end heavy. You have end crashes from both rage and hasten. You need to focus on both end recovery bonuses and endurance consumption (obliteration has very little endurance reduction).
IO Choices:
-Put another Performance Shifter (End Mod/Acc) in Stamina.
-6 slotting Crushing Impact sets for the bonus is silly. You are way over the ED damage cap and would be better served dropping one and grabbing a triple or a quad from another set.
-The benefit you get from slotting phalanx fighting that much is not that great. I bet those slots can be put to a better use. Leave it at a LOTG 7.5.
-The Force Feedback proc works very well in footstomp if you have a large mob around you. I see your obliteration set, but I think you can find other good bonuses in other sets that are more endurance friendly.
Power Choices:
It's an interesting concept for teaming - an AoE heavy build. I'm not sure the sacrifices you made to get this really will pull you out ahead of a more 'standard' SS/Shield Build with ST attacks.
Brawl was not 5-slotted. Boxing was and works fairly well as a nice fury builder. It was slotted for a fairly cheap 10% Recharge with the Stun purple set. I'm sure I could have used Crushing Impact in it instead but meh. I still use Boxing in my fury building chain. I don't think there's anything in that build that I don't use, except maybe Grant Cover when not facing Defense Debuffers.
As far as Regen/HP, I think the amounts I have (140% HP and ~200% Regen) are serviceable in combination with almost 40% S/L Resistance, soft cap defense, and almost everything within 20 feet being on its rear end every 6 seconds.

My apologies, I meant boxing, typed Brawl. Still just personally see the need since everything is usually dead in my normal chain. I know that my normal chain has breaks, and thats partially an effort do decrease my end use.
I've always just found the extra HP/Regen useful, especially for things that can't be knocked down, like AVs that just happen to get those lucky shots in. But personal experiance may vary.
TonalRegression:
Making some changes based on your recomendations, thanks.
All right so not only is this my first brute, its my first character with either SS or SD. I hit 50 a couple weeks ago and have been IOing out.
From the build below, the blank in Health is the Panacea proc (which is in there) the blank in Tough is the Gladiator's Armour +Def (that I can almost afford).
Right now I'm sitting at 42.2% def to melee, 41.3% to ranged, 38.8% to AoE.
The big problem I'm having is endurance. I wouldn't mind a touch more AoE defense either.
One thing I've thought of is dropping electric fences (mostly because of the -KB) and switching it for Mu lightning.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
