Do a search for FatherXmas, who has a $600 and $1000 (I think those are the price points) build he keeps reasonably updated. You may also want to ask specifically in Tech issues - or browse through there first, rather. I'm reasonably sure I've seen something similar lately.

I'm having problems finding recommended/affordable memory though. I'd like to get 4G. The manufacturer recommends:

Crucial guarantees your memory will be compatible. 4 Gigs will run you about $80.

Well if you go to Crucial's website, they list all of their memory that they guarantee compatible to the Striker II Extreme. Crucial is owned by Micron. After spotting the memory you like, go to NewEgg and compare manufacturer's part number before buying.
Actually you can do this method with other major memory providers, most have selection wizards to point you to the right memory for your motherboard and then you can simply lookup the part on NewEgg.
As for Asus's QVL (Qualified Vendor List), I'm unsure if that's for memory at their rated speed or memory they know their board can OC to DDR3-1600 and up.

I have one last question though. I was talking to someone about my new system and he said I should have 3 DDR3 memory modules to take advantage of "interleaving". I've not been able to find much on this, and I've not seen it mentioned in the motherboard documentation.
Does anyone know what this is about, and if it is relevant to my motherboard/memory ?

That's only the case with Core i7 motherboards. The current Core i7 series of CPUs prefer triple channel, alternating between three banks of identical memory (same size, speed and timings) to maintain a high bandwidth to memory. They can be run in single or dual channel modes with some to a lot of loss in performance.
The the MB chipset used for Core 2 CPUs are dual channel, alternate between two banks of identical memory for best performance.
With the Core i7, like the Athlon 64 and Phenom CPUs, memory is connected directly to the CPU and not through the Northbridge chip on the motherboard. This makes them independent of the chipset used when determining what kind of memory and arrangement is needed.

I'm in the process of putting together a new PC mainly for CoH. I only use Windows for CoH, so it can be pretty specifically designed for CoH. I don't want the most ultimate latest/greatest super quad triple over-turbo 16 TeraHerz processor system, since I have a budget.
I'm looking for the current/best "bang for the buck curve" system.
I prefer NVidia for video, but that's about my only preference. My current PC has a TV Tuner card, so I'd like to find something which would be compatible with the newer TV Tuner cards out there since I'll probably be getting a new one of those, too. I'm using WinXP, so no need for any Vista nightmare solutions.
Any ideas/help would be great.
