"Ignore this arc" option in MA browser

I'd like the ability to "ignore" arcs, straight from the browser window. There would then be an additional checkbox for hiding/showing ignored arcs (this information could be stored locally-- a text file with arc ids) in the advanced search options.

When I look for new arcs to play, I usually have to sort through 50+ arcs I've already glanced at within the last few weeks and decided I won't play based on the title and/or description. I *could* start each arc and rate it, with the intention of hiding it with the "hide those I've already voted on" feature, but that would give someone a rating that had nothing to do with the content of their arc, which I feel is detrimental to the purpose of the rating system (helping identify the quality of content).

I wonder how many people are 1 (or 5) starring arcs on the front page for this very reason-- they don't want to play them based on the title/description, and want them off their list so they don't have to keep sorting through them. Adding this feature would reduce those sorts of inaccurate ratings if they do occur. Regardless, it would help a great deal in finding content if we were be able to ignore content we have no interest in playing.

I think this would be a good QoL improvement for the MA search window. The ability to mark an arc as "I'm not interested in this" would thin out the visual clutter. Of course this'd have to include a toggle filter (like "missions I've already voted on") so that if a player changed his mind he could delve into this list.

It would also help people like me that have poor memories; I sometimes see an arc title and think, "is this familiar because it was mentioned on the forums or because I perused it last week and decided not to play it?"

Oh, misunderstood what you meant by "Hide this arc"

I was going to say HELL NO. Then I read the post and saw that you didn't mean what I thought you meant. I thought you were going to suggest the ability to hide your own arc from people searching, which would make farms harder to find and eliminate.

Since that's not what you meant I have no qualms with your idea. Let it be done. (heh, as though I have any say in the matter )

It would probably be better to refer to it as "Ignore this arc" and have it generate a private list of Arc IDs that you're ignoring.

Like this idea alot. The search we have right now is not to my liking at all. Too many arcs are just being hidden. A select random arc button would be cool also.
