Spin or Shockwave?

My honest vote: dump eviscerate and take spin and shockwave

2nd'd. On my Claw/FA I'll take eviscerate late (44) just because I'm lacking options at that point. I could try to work in boxing/tough but right now I only have room for one extra power and/or the slots to place in it. Either way, Spin/Shockwave are a better 1-2 then having eviscerate that more then likely turns into an expensive (end+time) single target attack.

Sure, the devs are supposed to listen to their customers, mister business 101 out there. And if I decide to start suggesting that the devs change the game from being about superheroes and supervillains to being about clowns that is my right as well, and technically Paragon Studios is supposed to pay attention to me. But I hope strongly that they assume a meth-head somehow managed to hack into my forum account and make paper airplanes out of my posts, because I hope they recognize stupid when they see it. I assume they will recognize futile just as accurately.

Shockwave sounds like a winner for SR and Regen...my plan is to skip it on my Claws/Dark because I want to keep everything in my damage/mez/heal auras. Only really have room for 2 of three between Spin/Evis./Shockwave.
Sensible or foolish?

After you kb the 10 or so baddies, unless they're dead you're going to chase after them, so the idea you need to keep them inside of DA's auras is really less of an issue than you're making it out to be. Again, there's a learning curve to using shockwave, but you can keep the targets bunched together once you get the hang of it.
But DA is the secondary that can most reasonably skip shockwave, imo, but by no means does it mean shockwave is unusable or even a detriment to DA. If you usually play on large teams, I'd still recommend shockwave over eviscerate*.
*Though I haven't played claws since the melee range increase, if you can reliably get 4-5 baddies with it now, then with DA I might take evis over shock. If not, then you can reliably hit 8-10 baddies with shock, and put them on their butts, which means dmg mitigation for you and everyone on your team.
So I got my Claws/Regen almost to 45. I have been playing an all freak AE map with nothing but LTs and tons of ambushes when you get close to certain objects. The map is pretty fun to be honest and yields good xp/tickets since freaks get back up for another beating.
So anyway I decided to burn a respec and try the map out with Shockwave in place of Eviscerate for AoE damage. I ran the map twice and respeced right back into Eviscerate.
Since the 7' melee range was added I never have a problem hitting multiple targets with it and the damage is way higher than Shockwave. I liked the mitigation from the KB but when it came to defeat times, Shockwave slowed me down big time. When surrounded by mobs and using Eviscerate I saw, on very many occasions, critical hits drop 2-3 targest right off the bat. I always jumped in with Follow Up, Eviscerate, Focus, Follow Up, Spin then just rinse and repeat. Mobs melted away and I didnt have to chase anything anywhere. I never needed the extra mitigation from Shockwave since I have Tough+Resilience for some good resist and DP/IH/Recon if needed.
So IMO I would rather Evicserate. The added chance to crit and much higher damage appeal to me more than tagging a few more targes and tossing them around a little. I used to farm with a Spines/Dark Scrapper and maybe I have gotten so use to it that I can line up targets to get the most miles out of Ripper/Eviscerate.
Although I did have enough fun with Shockwave, I might try to fit it back in in a level 50 respec build but if I cant fit it I wont be dumping Eviscerate for it
Just my 2inf

I have a Claws Scrapper and am in the process of leveling him up, I would like to slot Evicerate and one more Aoe type attack, but I don't need Both Spin and Shockwave, can anyone give me their oppinion on these two attack's?

My personal answer? Yes. Shockwave is a good opener, and also good for boss juggling. Spin is a nice power for large battles. Why not take both? Eviscerate's cone is so narrow your not bloody likely to hit more then 2 enemies at most usually, 1 more often then not.

Have you use the power lately? I hit 3+ all the time

I won't call it foolish. I do hear this concern voiced frequently for Claws/DA but my experience was quite different. Shockwave being a rather easy to use AoE cone goes rather nicely with Death Shroud and Spin. I open with Shockwave, then move to where ever the spawn landed. I use CoF and it takes hold before they get up. Spin and ST chain on the bosses. Against some mobs, they never get up.
There is a strategy to it. You need mind your environment. Indoors, clumping them into walls and corners works best. Even on wide open maps, target the guy in the back and they'll still land relatively bunched up together. Sure there's a trick to it, but for me that was part of the fun.
I plan to do the same thing with my Claws/WP. I don't see an issue with Shock wave at all.
