Doing this TF in under 5 hours is amazing to me. I once did it with a PuG in 10 hours...Oiy!

I had a great time. It's been eons since I stayed up that late playing CoX or otherwise, and I only had to get up and wake myself up once!

Thanks all for the great time, and thanks Jim for leading it!

Thank you to everyone that came out and helped us get 3 teams going for Dr. Q this weekend. Yay!

Jim and MB did a great job as always leading their all night teams. Congrats guys!

My team took the long and steady route, and considering the team make up, I think we came in at a good time. We finished by my count at 5 hours, 54 minutes. I have no clue on how many deaths we had (100-ish maybe?) because I didn't set the death counter. Thinking back, I remember now why it didn't get set... It had something to do with a certain irradiated illusionist speed ballin' around Dr Q while I was trying to set the TF. Kept bumping me outta the screen Hmmmph.

My team was:
DarkestFrost: Dark/Ice Defender
Flames of Mr. E: Fire/Shield Scrapper
FreezeUnder: Ice/Kin Controller
Grimnor: Fire/MM Blaster
Totally Wicked: Rad/Rad Defender
Silverback: Invul/SS Tank
Fire Con: Fire/Kin Controller
Dr. Hollywood: Emp/Psi Defender

Not a whole lot to say on this TF. It's long and annoying in my opinion! But at least we're done with it for a few months

Sorry my SG mates kinda messed us up last night. They are husband/wife and we had some pretty bad storms yesterday in the area. One of their network cards got fried it sounds like, so we ended up without a tank last night. Mr. E did great though as a scrapper/tank.

I really really want to thank the couple of people who helped keep me sane these past two nights. You know who you are

So after talking with E-Man, I've decided to do the Sara Moore TF in one night on all teams next week. It might be a longggggg night on my team, but we'll see how it goes! At least there's an interesting boss at the end of that one

I'll put the sign up for it up later today or tomorrow.

Thanks everyone!

Luna

PS: Anyone that was at the startup on Sunday night might want to check their chat boxes to make sure the "Freedom TF Chat" channel is still there. We experienced a global reset on the chat channels while setting up, and that causes it to remove your channels. I noticed last night that although a lot of people were showing as being in the channel, it was abnormally quite.

I had great fun running this over the last couple of nights!

This TF has it all:

-Pretty Scenery: during the very frequent & long journeys between missions

-Fox(trot) Hunt: while Team #3 is also hunting (sorry for all the KSing )

-Multiple Simultaneous Glowie Clicks: "I think I'm safe...damn they saw me! We need to clear these Eyes outta here!"

-Too Many Defeat All Missions: "but of course"

At least it gives a good number of merits.

BTW, I thought we were closer to 5 hrs 30 mins, but I could be mistaken.

Thanks again for organizing this Luna & MB.

lol, you summed it up very nicely my friend!

Sorry my head is a bit fuzzy this morning (head cold + ran out of my migraine medicine during the long weekend, so medicine withdrawl), so it was hard for me to write my summary earlier

Maybe I added it up wrong... but the times I wrote down were:
Sun night: 10:05pm to 1:52am
Mon night: 9:50pm to 11:57pm (the time stamp on the pic I took)

Course my start time for Sunday night might be off. That's just what time the husband told me we started. I was a bit busy trying to get mine and Jim's teams started to see what time it actually was. That might be the discrepancy right there.

Umm yeah, you summed up our stealthing activities very well. I learned my lesson a while back, just wish the team would have listened to us last night when we kept saying, your going to have to clear if there is stuff nearby. Oh well!

I'd like to say we had less deaths than Jim's team, myself.... We never once had a full team wipe, for instance. Though Freeze and Fire kept dying to pulling too much aggro, so who knows. lol

Anyway, thanks again for running it Luna.

Yes, the global server went down briefly and reset just before we started on Sunday.

Anytime after setting up or making changes to my chat tabs, I do a /chatsave. This ensures all my channels will appear correctly on new characters as well.

Then, whenever I notice the Global channels have reset (Seeing the "Joined channel" messages flood my chat), I just /chatload to put everything back quickly.

If you see the "Joined channel" messages, but you don't see the MOTDs pop up in your chat again, then chances are they didn't get re-added to your tab, and a /chatload is in order.

(On a side note, the tab contents are actually saved on the server and should reappear the next time you log in anyway.. but having a /chatsave on reserve is always a good idea in case they don't)

Ohh good to know those commands MB. I've got way too many toons, and when I created my two new ones this weekend, it was a pain in the behind to get their chat tabs setup again. I'm also thinking about stream-lining my chat boxes, so this will be very handy.

don't forget that if you die close enough to a glowie you can still interact with it if you use the target window options and choose "interact"

I had a lot of fun, and I was pretty impressed that we did it in 4 hours. I apologize if me entering the last mish before we were set contributed to the team wipe.

Jim became very, very good using this technique.

[/ QUOTE ] LoL.. I just pretend it's just a curse to enter the last mission before everybody is ready because there have been bugs that cause not everybody gets the badge because "they were not being in the mission long enough". It's always good practice to wait for the team before zoning into the last mission of a TF.. especially a long one... and especially since I said "Wait for team before entering".. haha

Since a few people were selling quick.. I didn't want to risk any problems.. but luckily, the last member was just zoning into DA and a quick TP away anyway.

So when we wiped, I jokingly blamed you anyway. lol

I did not know that Jim, thanks.

No worries, MB. I knew you were joking on the wipe.

It was just one of the instances where it was late, I was tired, I got a TP to the door and just went right in. I never saw what you said until I was inside. D'oh!
