SS/WP TAUNT SLOTTING
I recommend swapping to Invention Sets for your attacks. Above level 35 they enhance more than SO's and Hami's. THEN you gain global auto buffs (the set bonuses).
Taunts sets I place into *Taunt*, but never into attacks. (at most 1 generic taunt IO at most in an attack)

This is inaccurate. Even against a level 50 IO, an HO is superior. A dual effect IO will enhance 26.5% on two aspects of a power. An HO will enhance 33%. And some HO's will enhance 33% on *THREE* aspects of a power. A three aspect IO is much lower.
Now, all of this is subject to what you need to enhance and what types of enhancers the power will allow. Nothing beats a Cytoskeleton (HO) in Invincibility: 20% to hit buff, 20% def buff and 33% end reduction *IN ONE SLOT*.
Please note, this is not considering set bonuses. Plus, purple sets are better.
Overall, the best strategy is to use IO sets with a handful of HO's thrown in where they really shine (there are only 11 kinds).

I definitely agree on this. Attacks are for doing damage (and possibly useful secondary effects).

I might be wrong but I believe that 10% Regen bonus you get from Perfect Zinger is constantly active, not just when you use that attack.
As for your attacks, I'm not sure what people here would recommend from full IO sets versus frankenslotting. I have full sets on most of my attacks but KO Blow I've frankenslotted so I get 97% Dam/End/Recharge and 37% accuracy on my Inv/SS Tanker (the down side being I get something like 3% immob duration reduction or some such out of that attack *whistles*).

well i admit to a bit of frankslotting, but that is what ED was ment for ,at least the D part,I personally hope that HO go back to their orignal power lvls(50% vs 33%), and the adding of the set was to make up a bitfor the lower numbers, and if we were not allowed to put taunts in our attacks why would it be allowed? thank you for your input,

I seldom slot up Taunt for set bonuses, either. 2 Mocking Beratements is usually all I ever put into Taunt, some combination of taunt duration, recharge, and range is the priority in the set, but mostly for the recovery bonus you get from two of them.
Another place to consider slotting taunt sets is when you have no-damage powers like Fault or Hand Clap. (Does Ice Patch take taunt sets? I seem to remember it doesn't.) You aren't losing damage by slotting for Taunt; Taunt is what they're for, and Taunt sets contain useful things like recharge and accuracy for those powers as well.

This is correct. All set bonuses work that way. It gets complicate with individual IO's that do specific effects. Some work like set bonuses and some don't. (I won't get into exemping.)

Just messin' with ya -- you can't have a SS/WP Tank because WP is a primary and SS isd a secondary for Tanks. I'm sure you're WP/SS and doing fine.

hi,
I have a lvl 50 SS/WP tank, fun build ,when I got in range I slotted 3 hamis(dam/acc) and 2 recharg and 1 end rdx in each attack, this has worked fine , but I was looking and noticed
that each power took taunt sets,so I slotted a sub set with 1 of the chance for psi damage(I checked it does about 88points when hits)and a taunt duration,and taunt/range/recharge. with 3 perfect zingers I also get a 10% regeneration with each attack, so in a fight , I am constant activating them.
My question is while the set bonuses are nice any "better" suggestions? for the slotting, Other than a purple set?
if I drop one of the hamis ,iand and another zinger I get a 5% recharge,but feel that it is not worth it.
any thoughts would be nice, I also wanted to boost the taunt,as I understand WPhas one of the weakest taunts in the game.
