PvP Stalker: Help and Suggestions

Recently hit lvl 50 with a Spines/Regen/Soul stalker and am finding it delicious. Got the range, a great secondary, as well as a great +def power in the soul set.

Planning on rolling another but am stumped. I was thinking either Dark Melee or Energy as a primary, and Willpower or Ninjitsu as a secondary.

<ul type="square"> Dark seems sturdy with a heal/attack, mez power, and debuff.

Energy seems to deal dmg well and has mez in nearly all its attacks if i'm not mistaken.

Willpower has utility but from what I've read, is a very easy secondary to overcome.

Ninjitsu seems promising, but with defensive sets lacking now i'm not sure if it's still viable.[/list]

does anyone have any experience with these sets or combinations of them?

I'd probably go EM/WP. Siphon Life isn't anything special in PvP and the elusivity nerf combined with DR makes /Nin not as great for PvP.

I think I am definitely going to roll with willpower. I'm just not to keen on EM. It's a sureshot solid PvP set but I'm hoping for something a bit different. It may be a toss-up between Electric or Martial Arts. Ideas?

Elec's Thunderstrike is supposedly doing crazy damage now, so you might want to look into that.

I don't see any reason to play EM right now, with how good elec is. TS is overpowered almost to the point of being a bug. Who knows...maybe it is. From what I've seen, it's basically a second AS. When it crits, it's so much more damage than energy transfer, it's not even funny.

But only when it hit's it's 50% chance for the "energy" portion to crit. Otherwise, it deals just a little more damage than a Total Focus Crit. However, yes, half the time it will deal the energy crit as well and you'll get some pretty good numbers.

However, Elec probably has some of the just plain WORST follow-up attacks you could ever ask for, with Havoc Punch being it's best (and that doesn't say much). So in my mind, though TS is pretty darn good about 50% of the time, it's balanced by the fact that Elec is pretty anemic in all other attacks/areas. AS and TS, it's about all Elec has (unless you can get a lucky LRod on some distracted nub which is just TOO fun lol )

Well spines only has impale + AS. The rest is total trash. That's just kind of the theme for stalkers. And generally, it's all a good stalker needs anyway. EM is kinda the only exception, with 2 big hitters other than AS.
