Reward Slider is Broken

I tried rolling some 10-14 bronze rewards today with the slider set to 10 and all it does is give me recipies based on my level range instead of the range of the slider. Has it always been like this for MA rewards or is this something that's broken now?

The recipes available to be received are based on the band you pick, but the actual level of the recipe is your own security level. It's always been this way.

Its the way that random merits rolls work as well.

There are solid design reasons for mking it like this.

Yes, because they don't require enough farming in this game that there needs to be more of that mind-numbing activity. Now, if you want something in the level range you like in MA rewards, the only option is turn off your XP gain. No thank you there. While I could stand setting up a 35 for that type of thing (since I primarily use level 35 IO sets) , there is no way in hell that I will spend hours playing at the crappy old level range of 14 just for a shot or two at a decent unique.

Ah well, so much for that.

There are? What are they? I've never heard a red name comment on this one way or the other.

Ok, after some playing and thinking, pretty much MA rewards are for salvage and cheap fully kitted out level 35 common IO builds at 32 (with some leftovers going for a KB protection roll every now and then). Honestly, avoiding the auction-gougers does make it worth having in play, I guess.
