Ahhh, well the thing is mercs used to (pre I13) the most resisted damage type of all the Mastermind sets. Straight up all lethal with a bit of smashing and 1 fire move.
The only thing they really bring to the table is a webnade every once and a while and -defense. Their holds and immobilizes were nerfed, the same as the rest of the MM pets.
With global resists, yea they still remain exactly where they were in terms of viability as pre I13. Only thing is other MM sets are now resisted as well.
However in I14, -defense might work out slightly better against anyone if they're still bringing defense sets. I have my doubts, the -def is small, and resistible.

Well, I'm going to try to remain optimistic.
Merc MMs has got to be one of the most underplayed primaries and I'm guessing for a reason. Anyway, my question is whether mercs are just annoying or can they really be a dangerous force to recon with and a force to be feared? (zone, arena, or whatever pvp)
