Editing .storyarc files

It should be possible to edit the .storyarc files stored in the mission folder of the CoH directory.

It'd be an extremely fast way to edit spelling errors.

What does everyone think? Of course if you add content you haven't unlocked yet, or that isn't in the MA interface you'll get an error and need to change the bits as needed.

You already can. They're just basic text files. I set them to be opened with Notepad, so I can review them offline.

I wouldn't try to create a mission like that, way too easy to screw up the format, but checking for spelling errors would be fine (just make sure you don't go over the character limit for any given line).

Sure, that's how I spellcheck.

Just keep in mind that that's only your local copy, and it doesn't work to edit already published arcs (because those are on CoX's servers, not on your computer).

Dec out.
