Ally Placement and Turnaround
1) They don't have to be rescued. You can have an ally "single" which means there are no enemies with them. You still have to find them, but they don't need rescuing.
2) if they aren't captured (they are alone), then having them go in first isn't too bad.
3) not switch sides as such. You can make a rescue where you save them and they run through a door (they don't fight as an ally). Or have them as an escort - they will fight beside you, but you have to lead them out. Then have them as an enemy triggered by completion of the first objective. So you find them and they are friendly. Then they show up later as an enemy.
All,
I'm currently working on a three mission arc involving an ally that becomes a turncoat by mission three. What I need to figure out is:
1) Is there a way to have the Ally start the mission with you rather than need to be rescued at some point (I'm told the answer is "no").
2) If not, how would YOU suggest re-introducing the same Ally for the second mission. I can get away with having the contact explain "seems your friend couldn't wait to get started and he's already run off. Probably gotten into trouble again too" the FIRST time, but it'd be a bit of a stretch IMHO to use that excuse twice.
3) If there's a way for the Ally to START a mission on your side, then switch sides at a point within the mission.
Thanks for your help!
