File size? Can't fit my story arc, suggestions?
The big size eaters are custom characters. Text only makes up for a few percent, while a custom character comes in from around 5-7% it seems. Can you replace a few customs with NPCs or trim the variety of a custom enemy group? That's about the only way to bring size down noticeably.

Another option is to probably create multiple arcs. Say Part one in one title and so on. One friend created 2 story arcs 4 missions each. But the story just flowed if you went at it in order.
Personal experience, but I've found that around 8-10 custom mobs is about the limit. It also depends on how wordy your thing is, and how many objectives you have. For example, I've made two arcs with 8 custom characters each, by now. One's fairly wordy and has a lot of objectives, the other's fairly simple and doesn't have as much writing. One's at about 85%, the other's at 90%~. I could probably fit in one more guy on the first arc, but not the second.
To better manage custom characters, create a source group for them and then pull them into another custom group to put into your missions. You can drop them from the custom group without having to delete them from the source group.

Is being in two groups WAI? I thought it was a bug (and an annoying one).

I've also heard the more costume bits you add to custom characters the more space they take up. I've not personally experimented with this, but if you've got your custom group with really fancy costumes, try toning them down some, that might free up a few more k that you can use to fit more missions.
I have also. Someone also told me that auras really suck up the space, as well.

I think when used as a specific objective critters will always display their original group.
But everything has to be associated with SOME group. Keeping filesize down by using a placeholder group for your rank-and-file mission spawns and culling as necessary is a better alternative than deleting or reassigning custom critters.

I have not been able to do auras on my characters, except the combat aura. How do you access the rest of the auras?

Purchase the Aura pack from the Ticket Vendor. It should be one of the items in the purchasable Costume section.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Ah. Thanks a lot!
I'm trying to make a story arc with 5 missions. I got to the third mission, and my file size is 135%. I tried deleting several objectives, but that did nearly nothing. I tried cutting down some dialogue, that also did nothing. Are we fairly limited on the size of our arcs? All my missions have custom mobs, I suppose thats part of the problem, but thats really what I wanted from mission architect. How do I delete custom characters? I only see options for edit and create.
Are there any suggestions for how to do a 5 mission story arc without making each mission small and generic? I can't fit the story in any other way.
