Commissions... Guidlines?
Heya, Firethorn. I suggest contacting some of the other artists privately and getting their feedback about where to price stuff. =) Pricing/commissions is sorta the elephant in the room around here so it might be wiser to hold these sorts of discussions over at dA. Artists and collectors alike are there.

You may want to edit your link above for your website it says invalid host name. I think it's without the www like in your profile.

This is a bug, nothing more. Please put away the tin-foil hats, there's nothing sinister going on here.-Protea

Greetings all!
You may have seen me pop up every once in a while, though I'm still relatively new to this section of the forums. As such, I thought I'd ask the advice of other fan art vets.
I'm interested in taking commissions, but have no real idea how to go about pricing my work, nor how to best advertise that I am in fact "open for business."
The first is a much bigger issue for me personally, as I've never had a good idea what my work is actually worth. I always think I overcharge people, and as such likely undervalue my work.
My deviantart page is http://quasi-agent1.deviantart.com/ and my personal portfolio webpage can be found at www.thefingerprintsofgod.com.
Any suggestions, input or feedback would be appreciated.
