Does anyone by chance have a demo file that includes that one winterlord big snow monster guy?

Also, I was hoping someone has a demo of many heroes all fighting him?

Anyone?
This would greatlly help me in my issue 4 comic.

Thanks.

I believe this is the model name you're looking for:

Abominable_Snowman_Giant

Unfortunately I can't look through my demos atm, but I'm sure there's someone who can dig a little something up for you .

Did you forget or just not find anything?

I couldn't find it (and I was busy last night uploading the HeroCon 2008 panel I did onto my YouTube channel)... however, I was only looking on MY computer. It may be saved on JOHN'S computer.

(Also, I don't always use a consistent naming convention for my demofiles, so I have to open all the ones I think it might be and search the text files for the GM.)

You might want to try using qgrep (Windows version of the unix command). I use it a lot to bulk extract all Models (or MOVs or FXs, etc.) from an entire directory of demos, but you can also use it to search a folder full of demos for a given model name and have it spit back a list of all the demos file name in which that model appears.

It needs whatever the latest flavor of the Windows Resource Kit is, I believe, but it's a handy tool when you're trying pull stuff out of several hundred demo files at once.

I'm still on XP, so not sure how it would translate to Vista.

I personlly use that Balshor's demo editor. I like the way it Filters real quick and easy. I seem to be able to do everything with that, easy for a beginner demo editor like myself.

I have the same issue when naming my demos. There has been more than a few times where I'll hastily just type something in to get recording ASAP, only to go back later and wonder what that demo was.

Anyway, if nobody can find a suitable demo you can always go fight some DE monster to use as a body double .

Yeah... I guess... but if I actually start demo editign the file, i'll have my OCD kick in and have to make it in the exact position it should be in, originally written in, which is around the warehouses on the west side of Atlas Park...

Trying to justify to my OCDness not to do that if I am simply using someone else's screen shots or demo files. lol

Those things can show up just about anywhere you know . But I know what you mean. Whenever I start editing for a video I start getting a bit pickier, then before you know it 2 hours have passed and I've finished a 4 second shot.

In any case it was just an option to throw out there if nobody had anything. Of course the winter event probably isn't too far off either...

Nice thing is, while you can only record demos with quicky little file names, you can rename them to just about anything you want.

Like, say "Winter Farming" dated 1/13/2005. Vista tells me it contains the string "Abominable_Snowman_Giant". So what should I do with it, SS?

SS? is that me? I guess so lol.
Not sure,
Umm, is there a place to upload it so I can download it and use it?

Thank you so much for finding a file.

Yep, SS.... my laziness.... excuse me, my efficiency has been quite high of late.

W00tStudios used to take demo uploads, but it looks like they've stopped doing that. Ah well. If you PM me your email, I can just zip it up and mail it to you.
