So yea... as of my latest post about Velasco dying and his spirit rising... everyone officially has free reign to do whatever until "The next chapter". I know some of you have a written or half-written dream and were waiting to begin to transition into that....at this point, go for it however you decide to.
About Doc Velasco: The Dream Demon's presence and bringing the demons opened a door to the underworld/hell that possesses a staying power for spirits that have just died. The energy from passing the door or being near it gives spirits the strength to exist in our world. It's also what gives any demon/spirit that passes through the influential and possessing strength to do what it does. At least... for this story. So those who can see him clearly and speak to him might be able to see the originating source of his power to stick around and not be "sucked into the light". For now... the Doc is still around.
A few of you have asked about Averick as well...what can I say, the man juggles, work, signing autographs, and saving the world...all the while keeping up with his favorite DVR'd shows throughout the week ( I actually dont know about that one...but definitely saving the world...) and while I'm sure he's at least reading, RL just... does that sometimes. He'll be back soon enough with Mystic-like grace.

Some info about Insangel, that your characters may act on if they've had a chance to observe it:
-- Angela's eyes are artificial. The whites are bare, perfectly white while the rest is deep black because they are completely man-made. (Hiding them is why she almost always keeps really dark sunglasses on.) She has no trouble seeing with dark glasses on, even at night.
-- Insangel appears to be 32, 33 years of age. Extremely astute and experienced people, Brian for example, would place her at 25, 26 years of age. The rest of you would have to determine how insightful of this your characters are.
-- Her "invisibility" is a niche-talent. Her limited psionic ability allows her to intercept her own visual information from others' minds. She has to choose to hide from specific people. For others to see her, they would have to be either one of (1): whereabouts unknown to Angela at the time, or (2): have some way to address the psionic activity that's causing the mental trickery.
-- Related to the above entry, some ways she is still observable:
-- -- mechanically, such as robots. Also, visual recordings pick her up normally. (if someone she's hiding from is looking at a TV screen of her at the same time, though, then they don't see her. They'd have to watch the recording at a time when she wasn't tricking them to see her.)
-- -- She can't hide anything she changes around her visually outside of a foot, 1' 1/2'' or so. So, on a beach, for example, she would leave observable footprints.
-- -- The other senses. She's really good at being quiet, but being heard is a possibility. Someone/thing could smell her. She can be touched. Taste... uh, skip. Let's keep this PG-13, guys 
-- -- It only works on people. Animals, aliens... plants? Their minds and/or thoughts are too different for this to work on. Rikti are close enough to humans that it works against them though, except for the monkeys. (for those of you that don't know from in-game story arcs or other sources of CoH lore, Rikti were humans, now they're changed.) (for the times she tries to hide from aliens/animals, I could even RP oddities. Such as, a big, tentacle-ey alien she tries to hide from, suddenly sees her in various shades of hot-pink while everything else becomes more greyed.)

Crimson and Zeta posted theirs. I haven't. Will be some time before I do as Kasoh and I have a few scenes before bed time is an option. No one had to immediately post dreams and sleep but...it's about 1:00am now, RP TIME. Get up for a midnight snack!
I have yet to determine the date though. So far, Ive determined that's it's fall and at the end of the month, I decided. Plays into the story. Just have to get a lil more info first.
For those that go into the next day already, don't go far and pay attention to who is still in "last night".

Speaking of the Comm device: Think of it as a small bluetooth earpiece with a channel button, volume button and power button. There are three channel frequencies that we can go on. Most times we stay on the same channel. The others are reserved for private chatter, when necessary. Newer folks are locked on Channel 1 and have access to Channel 2, while the "mentors" of the group (Anyone from Two Six, Season 1) can go to Channel 3. For now.
Posts coming soon on story progression. I'm really leaving development to you guys while I just hit certain key points to give the story direction.

Just want to give everyone a heads up that I'm not likely to be posting much over the next week or so. Personal - sad - stuff's come up and I'm not even going to be trying to be creative for a bit.
I'll still be reading and hanging out and answering pm's and stuff, so I'm still here.

Things you should know:
((Edit)) And all this can be common knowledge to any and everyone who has been living Paragon over the last two years, particularly two years ago and those that came later, I guess something that was just still rumored about in the streets. Then again, could be news to the clueless ones. (What? We have a mayor? Thats the one that lives at the White House right? Meh.)
1. The mayor's daughter is dead.
2. No one knew she had a sister.
3. Brian, at one point, had a high profile relationship with the daughter.
4. No one except those closest to the investigation (Mystic, Brian, the mayor, a few selected officials, and Newton by association) knows what happened and how the daughter died. For those that feel like they would know and had or have access to those kind of files or documents, PM me. We'll talk.
5. After her death, Brian went into a sudden early retirement (as the papers said, for those that follow the news) from the force, categorized by the desire to do something else and disappeared for two years. First time anyone has seen him was today...or yesterday, since its going on 2 in the morning.
6. News reports say that he had forced himself on the case although shouldnt have because of his personal ties to the victim. Tabloids speculated that Brian "lost it" and the retiremement was a nice way of saying shove off, you're not acting like a cop anymore, this is over your head.
7. No one knows that he's been back for about 6 months now.
8. There is still speculation as to who the girls murderer was and it's slowly becoming a cold case, which confuses the entire city.
9. The Mayor (for our story) is Keith Salcido.
10. The daughter's name was Kari Salcido.
11. Some of you may actually know or just recognize Brian (Det. Wincott) as being a cop that you may have dealt with when you had to fill out reports on certain high profile cases a hero has dealt with or just when dropping off a villain to the station. (Use the recognition if you want as personal knowledge or...some may hold a grudge, who knows. PM for details... i want to at least know why you're mad at me, heh.) He had initially made papers for being the youngest Detective...ever. At the time. He still holds the record (superfluous).
12. In the most basic way possible, LaSean is black. Kari is umm...blaxican? The mayor (Keith) is mexican and his wife (who is black and unnamed, feel free to make one up) cheated during voting season and got pregnant. In order to keep up pretenses, they made it like it was the mayor's baby and then after mayor was voted in, divorced his wife, who later gave LaSean up for adoption. Kari and LaSean are half-sisters. Lot is speculated that she had a sister, but not many know what happened to her... rumors rumors gossip gossip.
