I'd say that Jay did a damn fine job on the new costume pieces, but that their basic design isn't what we wanted out of a cyborg pack. Those two things are very different and not necessarily related. We should all understand how difficult it is to create good art here. Working with 3d programs to boot is like trying to stuff 10 pounds of pudding into a thimble.
I don't care for the design either, but to say that Jay did a bad job overall is really insulting to the work he does.

The thing is, Suichiro, Jay HAS pulled off miracles before. The Wedding Pack was pure awesome (just think, actual, you know, TEXTURES, and surface bump maps and such, on the Tops/Bottoms with Skin costume bits).
As added costume parts for a new Issue, yeah, these would be great. As an extra-cost costume pack? I honestly expected better. I know I'll still use them, though.
They probably look better in, you know, black with dull anodized metal highlights, or something. or was that dull anodized metal with black highlights? I always get those mixed up.
