Reposted Guide - New Dawn of Tanking
I hate to be the one to tell you this, what with you having written a guide and all for it, but so far as testing has been able to determine, the only tanker secondary that seems to have 'bleed through' process effects from gauntlet at this time seems to be dual blades, and then it is arguable whether this affects all dual blades attacks or ONLY Ablative strike.
have you tested this thoroughly on icey melee? would you care to show screenshots or a demorecord of this happening?
I originally wrote this back in Feb. Back then it did work and to this day I still run with multiple procs in attacks and even procs that damage in powers like Chilling Embrace, Taunt, and Energy Absorption.
I'll try to get some screenies of this next time I am on.

It's been tested with SS, Stone, Axe, Mace and EM by various forum testers, but to my knowledege Ice, Fire and Dark remain untested.
I have an Ice/Ice that I could toss a proc into but before I got around to it, I resigned myself to it being a DB thing only.
I should go have a look today.
But, after my initial excitement, I've come to view it as a bug (which is open to abuse i.e. Force Feedback Recharge or Achilles Heel Resist Debuff).
I was unfamiliar with how guides got posted and as such, the guides I posted ended up getting purged.
Here is my New Dawn of Tanking Guide. Original Post date in Feb 2008

THE NEW DAWN OF TANKING
Introduction
I have been playing an Ice Tank since just after the Hollows went live and have Tanked through non-stackable ice armors, mob-control reductions, ED (not erectile dysfunction enhancement diversification), and now defense normalization.
Even though I am writing about Ice Tanks, this guide is more about how we are able to tank in a whole new way by using gauntlet and processes! I simply am providing this information to you. This information as far as I know has never been published in a guide. It is not known if it is working as intended or if it is a bug.
Background
I initially discovered this information during the Halloween event in 2007. I was working on bettering my human only build peacebringer when I noticed I could slot up to 6 processes in an individual power. I created a guide called the Processor PB A Guide to a viable Humanonly build.
At that point, I started wondering about my other 50s and how this would work on them. Next, I slotted my Sith Lord and his numbers went through the roof. Lastly, I looked at Santa Laws. Ice/Ice and suffering. So I planned my build and tested at each step. This is a result of that testing.
Gauntlet
Every tank has at his disposal a unique AT based power called Gauntlet. Basically, it is an agro magnet. When you attempt to hit a baddie with an attack, you bring notice to yourself by those surrounding him. Every attack power has this ability attached to it. Think of it as attack-taunt. This attack/taunt affects up to 5 baddies just as taunt would.
Processes
The second part of this new dawn is processes. These are IOs that give you a chance to do something extra. Because of the nature of Gauntlet, we have found with our testing that the effects can bleed through to other baddies affected by Gauntlet. How so? Here is an example:
Santa Laws hits LVL 50 Freakshow Smasher LT with Ice Sword 6 slotted (3 Nucleolus Exposure, Touch of Death: Chance for Neg Dam {71.8 DAM @ 15%}, Impeded Swiftness: Chance for Smash Dam {71.8 DAM @ 20%}, and Makos Bite: Chance for Lethal Dam {71.8 DAM @ 20%}). Ice sword is Moderate (Cold/Lethal) Damage. Ice sword gauntlet affects a 6 foot radius. There were 10 freakshow in the radius circle but because of limitations, only 5 are affected by gauntlet. Those 5 (1 primary + 4 extra) each gives you the chance to apply proc damage to them.
In this instance, each time I swing the Ice sword, I get one check to see if I hit the primary target. Then for each hit of gauntlet, I get 1 check on each proc. So with every swing, statistically, I should get 15 proc checks. Of those, 3 would give an additional 71.8 damage in Smashing from Impeded Swiftness, 3 would give an additional 71.8 damage in Lethal from Makos Bite, and 2 should give 71.8 additional damage in Negative from Touch of Death.
This bleed of damage is an answer to the Tank prayers.
Conclusion
So there you have it. I'd love to hear your views and hear about how you used the information!
